Here is a picture of one area in the CJ mines that I just searched google for.

It would be great if some of you with your spensive low light cams could take some nice show pics of this area. Flash photog kinda kills it.

I didn't even know a place like this existed. I'll have to check it out when I go back, which unfortunately probably won't be until HP 2 is opened.

Not sure if this was posted before but what are the odds of something this size fitting inside JP? DH or Hate, care to chime in?]

Unfortunately, it is too large to fit the area that tricerotops currently inhabits. The sandy area was BGrizz under construction.

I'm not sure the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars is an example of an effecient use of space. I think plenty could be done inside Jurassic Park with some clever organization.

Yeah, that is what I am talking about... can you imagine riding a slow train through that with animatronic spiders and snakes etc. Great pics BTW.

And yes, there is a variable geyser in the glowing water pools that will blast high unexpectedly. CJ yanks me back to a 10yo in seconds.

Duh. It's a Small World is therefore a water ride. So was Jaws. But it's not a ride where it's sole purpose is to soak you to the bone, like Dudley and Popeye.

I don't classify it as a "water ride" in the same sense as Dudley and Popeye. Or Grizzly River Run, Kali River Rapids (which still fails to soak you, but it tries) and Journey to Atlantis. I mean, all of these have amazing theming and all that, but their main purpose is to get you wet.

Like, I would consider Splash Mountain and Jurassic Park to be very similar in the fact that they rely on telling the story first, and the wetness (if it even happens) is just secondary. Maybe I just have a weird way of looking at it... :blank:

I don't think it's a weird way of looking at it. I mean I define water ride by any ride that its purpose is to get you wet and also any ride that involves the vehicle floating or moving about in/on/under water. But maybe I have a weird way of looking at it too.

I do believe that if you and I were to ever roam that place together we would certainly become best friends forever

I love that section.. If they do a ride with that theme it seriously would be amazing. Still, I would like them to try to fit some dinosaurs into it as well.

......... Yeah I'm going into Camp Jurassic next time.

So if the Amber Mine coaster goes where Trikes is right now, what kind of problems can this cause to CJ? Too much noise, closing certain areas?

Not to much noise... that is sure. CJ is a wild loud 6-16 yo family party. Wouldn't cause any problems... they could possibly weave the track above or below pteredons (however you spell that), and have it shoot out over parts of CJ.

Ok, then we will need some dino skeletons to show what the mosquitoes sucked on... and if we make it an abandoned mine... then a few live escaped dinos. ooooooh.

Is the JP project green-lit at this point, or still just on the very likely end of the spectrum? The more I think about it the more I realize the necessity of this project to open simultaneously or just before Potter.

Are we expecting construction in the Spring or Summer?

Transformers is looking like it's merely weeks out before there is very little for the construction crews to do but hand it over for testing. Will they be reallocated immediately to JP or shifted to Potter and Simpsons over the Spring to help get those projects moving faster?

Its been said (idk who) that when Transformers gets done we will see amped up construction rates in Potter, Simpson, and Jurassic. Htf specifically said that construction for HE on the IOA side is about to hit full steam ahead.

Get it? Full steam ahe...

Yea i guess it was corny

It was just it's yearly refurbishment, so unless the insiders know something we don't, it was nothing to get too excited about.

yeah, i guess so but i am pumped to see the coaster they are planning on putting behind Thunder Falls. Hopefully Amber Mine..like most of us want. And i really do hope it's on the lines of the Grizzly coaster or Everest.

Ironically enough, I believe as of writing this, JPRA still may be down today for technical issues. Apparently before opening this morning, their main lift driver broke and the ride was down most of the day while they brought in a new one by a super-forklift and boom crane in their extended queue.

The refurb has been postponed indefinitely, at least until May, after Spring Break is over.

Before the expansion starts, they need to fix the AA's on the River ride. They look horrible. In Downtown Disney, there are better dinos and its in a restaurant. Its sad and a joke.

They also took out the big wooden doors that open in the beginning of the ride.
