This is extremely random and off topic but i was at Universal Studios the other day and i noticed pictures of Nicolas Cage taped on random spots of the park all day?...lol his face was hideous in it but it was pretty hilarious. I was like what the heck is going on?!! I saw one on the Simpsons trailer window, one on the big statue in the mummy line and a couple others in some different spots. Im sure it was just somebody being funny but i i wasn't sure if there was anything to it. It was pretty enjoyable to keep spotting them though lmao

The Island Skipper Tours was an attraction back when IOA opened. It went from POE to Jurassic Park. When the built the "temporary" bridge that bypasses potter they actually went over the pathway down to the dock, and the dock is visible from the bridge. The dock is now unusable because the bridge blocks it's access to the lagoon.

I'm guessing viewing for new nighttime show...? Is the dock area still publicly open!

No, the access to it is blocked by the bridge. The actually drilled right into the concrete paths to put the supports for the bridge. So the walkways are all there, just access is blocked. Wouldn't be good viewing for a night show, kinda around the corner from the open lagoon. Better spot would be the discovery center landing.

Of course every now and then some rumor pops up that they are going to re-open the skipper tours, but that would require they build a passage into the bridge (which would be easy enough to do with them keeping it closed in the off season)

Ah. There must be more to the pictures then. I guess it wouldn't be too crazy to claim that something about the landing ties in with the expansion, considering the title of the thread.

I'm getting the vibe that Universal has big plans for Jurassic Park as a franchise. They have new toys by Hasbro coming, a director on JP4 (which begins production in April in Louisiana), the first movie is being re-released in 3D in April and that release is going to see toys at Burger King (they haven't done that since TLW). I really think Universal is going to push for JP to be an ongoing franchise, and a big one at that. I bet the changes coming to the park are no coincidence.

I'm new to deciphering these viral hints, haha. What are you implying.. that they will renovate or build something in that area?

I sure hope they can find that same magical feel of the first movie.

Triceratops Encounter--

Not only do you get to come face to face with a living, breathing Triceratops, but you also get to clean up its poop now just like Dr. Ellie Satler in the first Jurassic Park film!!!

haha if this was Facebook I would have liked that comment. I definitely wish Jurassic Park did have a dark ride like Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom though, but I have always loved the feeling of the river adventure attraction, and I can't wait until they add some new Dino AA's and maybe a new scene!

To me, everything about Jurassic Park is outdoors except the Discovery Center. A dark ride would feel...weird. Kind of out of place to me. They could tell me I was outside in this dark ride, provide scenery and everything, but it's just not the same.

Those white flags are obviously the location that Universal is going to install the mortar launchers for the new lagoon show, duh!
