To me, everything about Jurassic Park is outdoors except the Discovery Center. A dark ride would feel...weird. Kind of out of place to me. They could tell me I was outside in this dark ride, provide scenery and everything, but it's just not the same.

It'd like have to be covered with Florida's weather, but a dark ride could still have outdoor sections like Alice in Wonderland at Disneyland.

Personally I would like to see them build an area where they have a meet and greet with a dinosaur like they have done with Universal Singapore. I also think that when they refurbish the river adventure they could do it that the dinosaurs have different movements each time you ride it so that is never the same.

FYI: Google maps now has 45 degree view (similar to Bing Birds Eye) of IOA. And it is very new and includes the new DC exit.

I hope this is something to get excited over. Something better than a utility flag.

Yeah, but it makes me nervous. The only staircases I am aware of are around the north and east parts of JP Discovery Center. I would prefer they didn't muck with that area at all.

I think this is good news.

What does this mean for the timeframe? Still around the end of summer for stuff to kick into gear? And when do they usually announce stuff like this?

It will be opening in Summer 2014, correct?

(If so, would WWoHP Phase 2 be opening Summer 2015?)

To be completely honest I can neither confirm nor deny opening dates on either project at this point.

I was under the assumption that WWoHP Phase 2 opens in 2014. Don't think there was any firm date though.

It would be nice if they opened both up in 2014. So to drive demand for both parks instead of just one or the other.
