To be completely honest I can neither confirm nor deny opening dates on either project at this point.

Just so we're clear, in HTF language this means "Nobody knows for sure yet but we're hoping for a certain date. However construction might get pushed back so I'm not even going to tell you what the hoped-upon date is"

It would be nice if they opened both up in 2014. So to drive demand for both parks instead of just one or the other.

I feel the opposite. I feel theres should be separate openings for Harry Potter and JP because they are both big attractions. I feel like WWoHP should stand on it's own when it opens

I think if they open both at the same time, HP will obscure anything else going on at the time, including JP. This should, and probably will, open first :thumbs:

Right I just mean in terms of the projected date we have gotten.... This in summer 2014/coinciding with the movie, hp In mid/late fall 2014

I know you don't know a date yet HTF but remember when you said Universal was considering putting a delay on the JP expansion so Phase 2 could be completed faster? Is this still true? and is it possible Phase 2 could come faster now? because It does look like they are picking up the pace.

Apparently early screenings to JP3D had a questionnaire form that asked questions about the parks, but Im not sure what the questions were. I wonder if there are any hints of whats to come in those.

But you want to stagger out your openings to keep people coming back.

You want passholders to have a reason to renew, and you want people who make an annual trip to the mouse come down to universal.

Completely different story. However, if you're looking for it, it isn't hard to see that you're in a building.

I agree with that.....space them out, give people more reasons for repeat visits....I am however,very much looking forward to a JP update/addition. Probably more than HP.

Any possible info at all for the JP expansion HTF? I wouldn't mind a tease lol even if it's something like a how many new attractions there will possibly be?!

I am thinking this does not open in 2014. Sounds like real work is not going to begin until September and while they did TF in 11 months, this sounds like more than just one ride. Plus, even at 11 months it would place it at the end of the summer of 2014 and that would only put 2 months between each grand openings. So my guess would be this will open the beginning of 2015, maybe softs in 2014 or an opening around Christmas time in 2014.

So does that mean the dark ride that was originally rumored for the Discovery Center that was supposedly canceled is back now?

Don't know if this has been said already, but the gates that usually swing open right when you enter JP on River Adventure have been completely removed from the gateway/arch (whatever you call it). Probably a good call considering you could always see them closing from the boat in front of you. (btw I didn't know exactly which thread to post this in, so I decided on the most popular JP thread).

Before spending money on new attractions they should really get what they have there working fully. The start of river adventure without the gates opening is really poor show as you can see the first dino total static ruining the effect. Also the gates opening to the voice over “welcome to Jurassic park” gave the ride a grand feel now it just feels cheap. The whole ride looked a little rundown and please for the love of god get potter to wave his wand and do something to at least try and hide that hideous white box that looms over the entire land……………..
