Mercy, it isn't even a rumor... just a wild guess. I will tell you all, that the outrageous thing that I heard would be the best code phrase for both Fallon and Orlando.

And remember, the project number and project name are not a rumor, but the project name strikes me as a HHN coded house name, like "Captain Kirk" was for "Halloween" last year.

Because I'd rather have that other proposed concept (Soarin over New York).

It would be interesting for the Tonight Show to be filmed in Orlando, I just don't see it. Tourists come here to see Potter, so unless the whole seasonal tour part happens, I just don't see it being viable, sorry Fallon.

You know how many people came to UOR just for taping? That line of thought is also "People go to UOR for Marvel, I don't see Potter being popular."

Yeah but the amount of people that go to Universal for taping is a lot less than the amount of people that go to New York for that sort of thing. It would have to be financially viable for NBC, not just a matter of if people will show up or not (because they obviously would). Also, I wonder how the dynamics of having a studio-taping in a theme park would work in the long-term...would studio audience members need to have admission, if they didn't would it be a marketable attraction for the theme park? I just don't see how it could work successfully for a long time.

Also, about the guest appearance deal, that's a good point. The guests on the show are still working, being on the show is part of their promotional tours...it's unlikely they'd be able or willing to just take a few days off to vacation in Orlando. Granted I dont know a lot about celebrity life but it seems like the trip down to Florida would also present an obstacle. It would be cool to see Fallon come here semi-permanently but it just seems unlikely and, like Teebin said, is nothing more than a comment that has spiraled out of control.

People also would come to see the free musical guests if its an artist they like. Its a even bigger win when you add stuff like that in. It would kinda be like back in the day when Nickelodeon studios was at the park and people came to see the live tapings. I know i did every time as a kid because i thought it was awesome.

The only other long term show tapings were done in the Nick Studios (90-05) and SS 21 for TNA (04-13). So I can only see this being a 2-3 year type of attraction.

People from all over Florida would want tickets... there would be no shortage of audience members.

It was financially viable to build sets for four days of taping.

Tapings would still be free... UO entrance next to rocket. Perhaps a few seats would be reserved for park guests and randomly chosen.

"Spiraled out of control"??? I just tossed it out there as a possibility! Geeez.

All that said, I am sure Fallon will be coming back to UOR for at least another short gig this winter/early spring.

Now I would be surprised if Fallon coming to UOR did not become some-what of a regular thing, but I just don't see extended stays as being very likely. As was said they have a hard time getting stars going that far out of their way for one interview, but also when things don't go according to plan in NY or CA they have a long list of people that can show up at a moments notice. And of Fallons strong points helping the show to be a success are all of his friends in NY that can add to the show in various ways.

BTW, The project number for this is a somewhat well-known/historic number dating from the 1960's-70's.

No insight, but just a random thought. If they plan to get rid of Disaster, I would think they would want an attraction that explores movie magic in some way (or in this case TV production). So my thought is the ride in the Twister theatre could be some sort of tour of 30 Rock Center...so some sort of insight on shows like SNL, the evening news and the tonight show...and that could be a pre show to a tour of one of the sound stages that could be set up as a set of any popular NBC show...just have some set pieces, cameras, and a green screen and that could do some sort of demo/tour of what goes on for a show like the tonight show or the Voice, they would not necessarily tape said show there, but rather some mock set up like disaster is supposed to be a film production set.

Would it be related to how I could get from where I live to Orlando?

Just a heads up that I will not be confirming the number. It should be showing up in permits soon. Once it does, I will post the Wiki link to the subject that I was thinking of. Then, any of the folks that guessed correctly will be able to do their very own happy dance.

Would that be 747?

Is this the same project # that Teebs previously alluded may be risqué?

Wow, things have taken a turn for the worst huh? I rather have Disaster and Twister stay if we'd be losing them to an attraction and not a ride.

Though Twister is not a ride, I rather have it than a show about a show.

Same.

Even aside from the jokes about it, I actually really enjoy Twister. It's something a bit different, and has a wonderfully tangible feeling to the whole experience. Although I'm not one of the anti-screen brigade at all, it is really cool seeing that set and all the practical effects. Maybe it's the theatre design geek in me speaking.
