Nintendo Coming to Universal Parks

I have no doubt Universal will do a great job with this land, but I'm just wondering what will be the common "look" to tie Mario, DK, Zelda, etc all together. Mushroom Kingdom, Donkey Kong Island, and Hyrule all look very different from each other.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we're expecting mini-lands a la Lost Continent pre-Wizarding World.

Well I'm not a Harry Potter fan. What they did with Forbidden Journey and Gringotts and Hogwarts Express is mind blowing. I'm saying it in the sense of wanting to see what more they could do. They have me totally interested in Potter now. I'm eager for their creativity lol

Seems to work alright for Smash Bros - Mario, DK and Yoshi already go together quite well. Zelda may be an issue since nearly every game uses a new art style, but going with one of the brighter/softer styles like Skyward Sword's or the new Wii U Zelda's should help it blend a bit better with the more stylized aspects of the other franchises.

So wondering if the tall building will stay tall because it is also the castle too? And maybe the building will also house a Mario style walk thru that starts at the castle entrance? Totally a guess, but main a walk thru where you can be Mario would be awesome

Can they please build the castle and have a queue line for a Princess Peach meet n greet but when you get to the front of the line there's a sign saying "I'm sorry, the princess is in another castle!"

If they never build a proper Mario Kart ride, I would love to see something like this as a small attraction. Or even something to do when waiting in line would make it the greatest queue of all time.

I've said this in the past. Miyamoto is engrained in the Nintendo design process, which means great things for us

I'm willing to bet Nintendo has close to Rowling-like control. They're very protective of their characters.

Completely agree. I can't help but notice they're a publicly traded company with some bad financial prospects right now. Mobile + licensing are (somewhat) of a Hail Mary to get their finances in order. I hope that didn't influence their control in all of this.
