T2 maybe.

Aliens is nowhere near as good as ALIEN.

Once again, that's debatable. Aliens is obviously more action oriented, which appeals to a different fan base than the original. I prefer Aliens.

i think a big difference for FOP is whether or not the RV is elevated and moves out towards the screen. If it doesnt then consider me disappointed

I'm disappointed either way. Maybe I was kidding myself, but I was expecting them to pull out all the stops for this ride. The land itself looks...fine. The boat ride looks like a better Finding Nemo ride. But Flight of Passage just looks so lame. I was looking forward to trying to get to DAK next time I was in Orlando. But honestly, from what I've seen in these videos, I don't need to rush.

In my opinion...in order for the avatar sequels to work. It will really need to be a brand new story with completely new characters and motivations. I could see him trying to make an epic expansion story like Lonesome Dove in space.

Going back to my own comment on the glasses, there's no point to the way they are made if the screens aren't filling a significant portion of your vision, including peripheral.

Yeah...but they haven't really shown anything but the seat. So how can you actually make such a statement. The "ride" portion still has the potential to blow minds.

It's a lame-looking seat in front of a screen. That's enough for me. I expected it to be a screen, but also to be something a bit more creative than a seat in front of a screen.

Biggest disappointment to me is the lack of multiple AAs on the river ride. I was expecting "jungle cruise" on another planet, but screens kind of take away from the idea that these creatures actually exist .

I'm assuming the screens track the perspective of people on the boat like Spider-Man. If that's true then they wouldn't look right from a static camera position. If they get the parallax right as the boat moves they could be pretty convincing.

I think we will know rather quickly if this ride delivers. It has a lot of cyncism towards it in the fan community.

Wow. And you can just go ahead and take 2019 off the board too as, SW 9 will be releasing at Christmas, and Cameron really won't want to go up against that.

I'd expect the Han solo movie to shift to a Christmas release for 2018 now as well.

These ride vehicles look a lot like the ones you would find in one of those cheap "5d" cinemas in very touristy areas

I don't think he cares. Didn't avatar go up against a really large movie franchise? Lord of the rings maybe?

It's actually quite a bit more than that...this is actually the most successful and realistic flight simulators I've come across.

I agree, this land and its creatures were set up for some great AA opportunities. I was really hoping for one of those hammerhead elephant things. Not only is it a creature that could be accomplished with fairly easy mechanics, but it would be a great opportunity for Disney to market a large scale AA similar to a certain monkey we all know....

I think they also have HAVE to work in something interactive with one of those Mech suits..
