And again.. you've experienced it at night?

Did I say that? I'm saying this because...

A. Avatar is the grand finale in converting the park into a night time park.
B. It's being heavily marketed for it's one of a kind bio luminescence at night and what's been shown so far looks great.
C. Apparently according to other people on here, the land had a $1 Billion budget (which I still don't believe) and supposedly all the R & D costs went to night-time lighting and the technology behind the bio luminescent forest. So there.

Nothing about it screams "amazing alien planet experience" but moreso "dense tropical foliage and interesting rocks." Honestly it looks a lot like the rest of AK

And much of M:S's insane budget was for R&D of the centrifuge... ya know, the one they have half turned off so that are willing to enter the building.

And the night lighting hasn't been touted much at all in marketing.

Until you go around the volcano and see a huge hole in the back and a highway.

I'll be there opening day. Crowds are going to be insane. I've been waiting 6 years for this thing to open!

I hate this argument immensely. Yes, it sucks; but it's not like Universal has a choice. I'm sure they would rather have other options.

Critique what they can control.

Do you think the average customer cares whos fault it is? It's still valid criticism . If you can hear and see the traffic from the cabanas, then that'll be 10x worse. People paying good money arn't going to be like, "it's not Universals fault the highway is there". They might think or say "wow, there's a busy highway right across the street, that's odd and unsightly".

They are doing the best they can with what they got. It's worked out fine for Disneyland.

I think the highway is going to be less of an issue than people think. The running water and music will drain out the sound that the trees and distance can't conceal.

Stupid question but will the cabanas have TVs? A fridge of beer and a water park sound like an ideal way to watch some sport.

You barely hear the traffic in the Sapphire Falls pool; VB will be fine.

As far as TVs, no clue yet.

:topic:.....Heh, I always wanted to do this, especially since I'm usually guilty of being off topic. :)....But, actually this is pretty interesting, as are most off topic conversations on OU......So, feel free to continue talking about comparisons to Volcano Bay, which , by the way,I don't believe it will be affected by the nearby street noise. Plus, I don't mind part of the volcano being open. It will provide kinetic energy to the park as we watch people screaming for their lives.
