Aside from Dr. Death, it’s rough out there as far as Peacock content goes.

For Scripted definitely agree...but unscripted Peacock is a treasure trove as well as Spanish language content. Scripted...Killing it (the best comedy on Peacock especially those from florida) Wolf Like Me, The Resort, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlinand if you reallly like campy stuff Vampire Academy is good.

The unscripted stuff is nothing to get all that excited about though. That’s supposed to be complementary content.

Most people that have Peacock probably have Netflix too. Theres nothing that Peacock is offering in terms of unscripted/reality content that I feel is worth a subscribing to the service for that Netflix either isn’t already giving me or doing better. In most cases, Netflix is putting out a lot more compelling unscripted/reality content, too.

Nope, she sure didn’t.

She took investigators there to prove some sort of alibi, got let inside despite having no record of employment, and then led investigators around the property before admitting she had made it up and had no idea where she was going.

The media ran with the story because it was listed on her social media. As it turns out -- and as the resort was quick to point out at the time -- she actually worked at an (unrelated) escort service that capitalized on the Universal name.
The fact that UOR was so briefly intertwined in this story, and they fact they did everything to distance themselves at the time, makes this being filmed at the resort feel like an SNL sketch or something. Just horrible optics on Comcast's part.

Below Decks seems to be having a moment, even as they run it into the ground. And as was mentioned, the service is huge into true crime (my wife's thing, not mine). As a cord-cutter, Sunday Night Football has helped ween me off cable.

Throw in the Millennials' classic TV (Office, Parks & Rec) and a smattering of funny new shows in that same vein, and the occasional big movie (JP 6), it's a hodgepodge like Netflix, but everything just seems higher quality.

Jeff Shell CEO of NBC Highlighted peacocks strength which I said all along...Unscripted particularly bravo shows and true crime and spanish language content (Jeff stated the spanish sport content really put them aboe the competitors) are whats driving peacock forward.

Peacock At 18M Paid Subscribers, Up From 15M In Sept.; Jeff Shell Says Universal Now Rivals Disney Animation, Sees “Big Check” Coming For Hulu Stake

The executive talked ads, sports and movies at a media conference Monday.
deadline.com deadline.com

Jeff Shell: It's hard for me not to get out of my seat right now and jump up and down about how Peacock is doing. I'll give you a little bit of news this morning since we're here. But I think at the last - end of the last quarter, we reported the Peacock was over 15 million paid subscribers were as of this morning, over 18 million paid subscribers. That's more than double since the beginning of the year. So we've doubled our paid subscribers at Peacock since the beginning of the year.

That's real subscribers paying us real American dollars, not some of the bundled wholesale stuff that you see outside from other people. And also remember, that's outside of people getting Comcast because Comcast Xfinity is still bundled with Peacock and at some point, we will convert those subs to - to paying.

So 18 million, over 18 million, very strong. Additionally, there is been some questions about what is our usage. Our usage because we sell advertising, that's important, as important as our paid subscribers. We're seeing a usage of over 20 hours per month on those paid subscribers, which is well above what we forecasted 3 years ago when we launched the business.

So when you look at kind of those two levers, the 18 million paid subscribers in the over 20 hours per month, we're seeing an ARPU that's approaching $10 for each of those paid subscribers. Once again, real dollars, not funny money, as you see. So - and that you know, you kind of - everybody in the room can kind of quickly do the arithmetic. But that results in a business that on a run rate basis is doing over $2 billion of revenue already in 2.5 years. So very, very encouraged.

Also Jeff Shell talked about Casey Anthony

We have to - hopefully, we're going to talk about a movie studio. Our movie studio was ranking and all those movies going to Peacock are having an impact. It's not just movie to movie to movie, but if somebody comes there to watch nope and sees that we have another 12 movies on there. We have the best movie offering now in streaming and people will talk about it, movies drive platforms and our movie studios driving Peacock.

Third thing is as part of our overall strategy, the strength that we have on NBC that's making it number one [indiscernible] procedurals, SNL, all the things that are making NBC, number one and making Bravo number one with, I have to mention Below Deck and every big as my favorite show. Below deck, The Real Housewives, all of that content goes immediately on to Peacock starting this fall. It used to go to Hulu. Now it goes on Peacock, and we're seeing a lot of strength there. And then all three of those pillars that are supplemented by an original strategy which we're just getting going, but we have another hit quite - there's a documentary right now about Casey Anthony that we have on Peacock, which is on fire right now, and it's actually become the top title for somebody coming to watch a World Cup game, it's the second thing they watch. It used to be movies, it's now Casey Anthony.

I’ve never doubted or disputed that Peacock’s most popular content is unscripted. It’s cheap and people like it.

That’s a ROUGH quote about Casey Anthony though.

No that’s not what I’m saying. I’m not surprised it’s doing well and Comcast wants to brag. It’s the way it was worded.

Probably a smart move going with the 1970s. Differentiate it from the movies.

It fits the style of the game though. A poster is simply meant to evoke what a show will be like. To me, this screams fun action comedy.

Hope it’s good but the poster doesn’t promise effort was put into this

I think we’re reading way too much into a poster. Let’s wait until a trailer to judge quality.

I sometimes wonder if the people making these even like know the games.....at all

This and Halo feel like another idea with a IP just thrown in to gain viewers

Arcane, Mario Movie and Last of Us should have shown people why knowing your base and IP is better then just making crap up

Yeah, it doesn't look that good for sure. The trailer doesn't show enough to for me to much of an opinon, but that sneak pean really doesn't do the show any favors.

Woof. Thankfully they don't appear to have spent very much so at least it won't hit them too hard.

This exactly. TLOU was nearly an EXACT copy of the game and the general public loved it.
