Secret Life of Pets attraction coming? (USH)

If KZ closes early 2016, then that is 2 years if NL was to open in 2018. On the other hand, if there are multiple attractions then I guess 3 years makes more sense.

Been wondering, for Mario Kart, how will they do the upside down parts, assuming of course they will utilize it.

I mean, KidZone is closing early next year. Theoretically it could go onto the Diagon schedule, but I think Nintendo is going to take more time.

I could see maybe late 2018, but at that point they might as well save it for 2019.

I don't know how this would make a great ride. The movie seems like Americas funniest pet videos the film. It's just banking off of cuteness. It also takes place in the real world so yeah, will we be shrunk down to the size of Pets or will they just be real dog sized? Whatever it'll be an awkward theme to fit next to spiderman and Popeye no matter what it is. Not really what I think of when I think "islands of adventure". I think this is just a rumor, the film hasn't come out yet (although I'm sure it'll break records) and a gigantic trackless ride with AAs and sets just screams blue sky to me. It's just too early to judge plain and simple. Also I'm 99% this will have screens. It's pretty much inevitable

Spider-Man is set in New York. This is set in New York. It also isn't "next to Popeye", so that point is moot.

Yeah there is some projection mapping onto the walls. But the main thrust of it is physical.

I am surprised that there is that much to "know" at this point. I was told somewhat recently that it was still in development.

Well that was the point of the first trailer. It was only a teaser trailer, it used humor and cuteness to make people interested in the property. But as of now we actually know nothing of the movies actual plot, or at least it hasn't been shown via footage. The truth is the film could include some inventive action sequences that would transfer over well. It's just impossible to judge the properties potential for an attraction based souly on a very little footage we have been privy to.

I am a bit concerned planning a ride before the IP's release is a waste of resources. Especially when you consider a classic IP like the Grinch still hasn't received a proper attraction.

However, after researching this movie, I'm now rooting for its success. So many talented comedians are involved.

A couple of thoughts and "opinions"

If things are leaking right now that leads me to believe it's the first phase of plans going out for bids. Once those come back that's when things get hacked and cut. So if people are seeing things that may not be what ends up happening. Forbidden Journey is a great example of how things can change drastically from first bid to opening day. Another major ride will also be a perfect example when opened.

On the other hand, Steve Burke and the Comcast brass are apparently behind this full blast so who knows if any cuts happen...

I applaud Universal for getting ahead of this film. They totally missed the boat with Despicable Me imo and it appears they are really trying to capitalize on what may end up being a huge hit and or franchise opportunity.

This type of ride is exactly what Universal needs. A true family attraction in a park that desperately needs it.

With all that being said, I want this ride and if you want something fun you want this ride.

Well if it's still in development, and the USH rumored site is more prepared for ground breaking than the IOA one... is it possible USH may actually get SLoP first?
