So you're one of the "screenz!!!" people. You might want to just stay away from Orlando altogether. Avatar and Star Wars will use them as well.Just saw that NBC preview of Reign of Kong. Man this attraction is shaping up to be Universal Orlando's best video game ever.

I am surprised there is no new rumor yet that they decided to change the ride to Jurassic World
That's it!! No more concrete or steel for rides anymore. A pox on those who invented the infernal things. We will build Kong out of Styrofoam and plastic. All recycled of course. The King must be green. I still find it interesting that many of the facades in Suess Island were made of Styrofoam. I will be at UNI/IOA on Wednesday. After initially thinking the chance of a soft opening would be available (denial!), I have moved on to acceptance. Oh well, it will give me a reason to come back later in the year.
Media Previews are still on.
Hmm, that would allow more of an opening of walls. But, I wonder if they would do it much like the Mess Hall to where they would still have the walls up, but there still being some extra foot-space.
We have penciled in a drenching tropical storm for Monday. I would be shocked if softs start during a tropical storm.

I just watched the Jurassic park trilogy on netflix again. In the first movie there is a funny quote which i thought was hilariously relevant. "What do they have in there? King Kong?"
Which makes the placement of the Kong ride so clutch. Nice easter egg Universal!

Kind of a no contest. Frozen being better than Kong would be like the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl.
Has been mentioned here before. I think the original Kong movie had those same gates or something.
I doubt they will cancel the media preview whether it's ready or not. Hell, Disney previewed Frozen to media a month or so ago.
Plus, we know people have been on it and many liked it, so we know the ride works, so I guess the problem is break downs quickly occur when it has to keep on running. Does anyone know if they are still cycling well?
I believe it was actually DAK's Nighttime that was previewed (and I am being really debating on what I mean by "previewed")
RoL was given a B-mode preview, basically everything being static, the best they were able to run it. They DID do a site tour of Frozen though, that was well documented.
