Once upon a time, it seemed like IoA was a park based on literature of all kinds.

Has that premise been totally thrown out at this point?

Once upon a time IOA was Cartoon World featuring Looney Tunes and DC Comics too.

The literature thing was purely coincidence and has only ever been pointed out by fans; it was never an official stance of the park.

It also never really was all that solid. Yea JP started as a book, but the land was all movie. Not to mention Popeye and Dudley started as cartoons before becoming comic strips

The assumption about Literature mostly ties into Pharos Lighthouse from Alexandria Egypt. I guess implying a tie in to the famous library of Alexandria.

I think Popeye was a comic and Dudley was first a cartoon.

I never knew that! I always thought it was part of the park, albeit poorly advertised.

Makes me feel better about Kong, too :)

Original IOA was made up of the discount properties that Universal could get a hold of at the time...The literature thing is just coincidence

You're right, I thought both started as a cartoon

Taking it with salt...Zelda is an IP with a lot of roads. And not all roads lead well in some ways.

I would be curious to see how it's handled though, that's one thing. But for now, I have..some doubts.

I think it's easily the strongest choice. Classic, iconic IP, great attraction potential, fits with the feel of IoA

I could've gone either way between Zelda and HTTYD, but the latter is definitely one of the stronger Dreamworks properties and should have a significant area in the new park. Zelda will be a great fit in IOA.

Trust me, to when I think it's perfect. But I just hope they stick the landing.

It would be funny though, if the first land for Nintendo in Orlando goes to the Tunic-Wielder who's done more saving than a plumber who gets a princess free from a reptile and his boons (on a larger scale, that being).

As much as I adore Dragons, I just don't foresee it ever getting that much space to shine. I'm expecting a single ride and maybe some flat rides or a play area in Park 3.

That article isn't all that accurate. Zelda was never actually planned to go into USF. The "leaked" map was the proof of concept they used in their pitch to Nintendo. Even before the contract was signed, both parties knew they wanted it in all the parks.

I wonder if there will be live chickens?

Assuming everything still remaining in Lost Continent was to be demolished, what is the available acreage there for a land?

This article is.... odd, to say the least. Why did he reveal it this early? I didn’t expect this for another couple of months. The proof of concept thing you mentioned. The backtracking on the whole Jurassic Park/World thing, and the statement that it’s coming in 2020. Huh?
