^^^ Agreed. When they give such vague hints it is normally because some sort of negotiations are going on and if the word gets out in the public it could be bad. So I am thinking it might be awhile before we hear anything. Plus Uni has time, Kidzone redo is further out in their timeline.

Based on what they've been hinting at, this project might be getting the fast track (as in open the same year as Kong - summer/fall 2016)

2017 completion date IMO, then they move onto TL in 2018. So no concrete idea until after DA. Doubt we will get anything from parkscope or HTF til then also :/

That would be great to know, whether or not the project is fast tracked

And both they and USJ have Sesame Street. Rights licencing are country specific (Usually done as a region). Because they have the rights to use it in a theme park there means nothing for here. The same logic would say USH could put in a Spider-Man ride. Doesn't mean they can't acquire the rights here, but the fact that its in Singapore means nothing.

Also, two things to keep in mind

1 - Spielberg is part owner of dreamworks and has his beloved E.T. in the kidzone area, so I'm sure he will have some say in what goes in the area.
2 - Although Busch Gardens has a Madagascar Live show, One of the Universal perks of employment is getting free tickets to Busch Gardens, so it seems like a more harmonious relationship than what they have with Disney. I'm sure with the zone they have in Singapore, The good relation with Busch Gardens and Spielberg, they could end up working something out to have a madagascar zone in Universal

I think Speilberg's position in the Universal Creative department will get him a lot further then his part ownership in Dreamworks. That being said if an agreement has been signed with SeaWorld parks there's not a whole lot he can do about it without costing a lot of cash to buy SeaWorld out of said contract.

The reciprocal entry agreement is a standard in theme park employment. If you go to regional parks thought the US their TMs can get into the other regional parks in their area. It's a perk that costs the park nothing other then letting the other companies TMs in, and yet gives them something to point to when complaints are made about the low wages.

A name that that nobody has mentioned at all: Ubisoft/Ubisoft Motion Pictures. I mean it's possible because of the mix of video games/movies. It's something that would be pretty much new and exclusive to Universal. This:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft_Motion_Pictures and this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft. All major game franchises that are being turned to movies or possible franchises. And Rabbids Invasion television series that is also becoming a movie and also is Co-production with Nickelodeon Animation Studios. This might not be likely for kid zone because of the more adult themed games they have but it's something new and interesting nobody has mentioned. I mean it wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world ya know? And this was a short article from Screenrant.com talking about Rabbids:

The film hopes to piggyback off the success of the recently released Rabbids Invasion animated television show, which drew solid numbers on Nickelodeon. Unlike Rabbids Invasion, however, this forthcoming Rabbids film will feature a combination of live-action and animation.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ executive director Jean-Julien Baronnet shared his enthusiasm over working with Sony Pictures as part of the project. More specifically, Baronnet cites the studio’s success in the hybrid live action/animation genre (The Smurfs) as a key reason behind the partnership. So, while Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ has several adult-themed projects in development, it appears they are also going after the younger demographics.

I love the Rabbids, but right now I don't think the Rabbids movie has a chance. The game franchises have been milked pretty badly and once the movie comes out I'm sure the majority of the public will see them as a rip off of the Minions, which is certainly not true just bad timing.

The Rabbids actually came out (in video game form) before the minions. I always thought the minions were a rip off of the Rabbids. But either way, yeah they are very similar.

I think videogames could be a great theme for a kidszone. Maybe 1 console specific. If they would do it I hope it will be Nintendo or PlayStation (Xbox has to much shooters). What about a PlayStation land (cross promotion partially paid by Sony with a space to sample the newest games) and rides themed to:
Rachet and Clank (a movie is in the works):

Sly Cooper (also a movie is in the works):

Little Big Planet (no movie link):

The move exclusive games Book of spells and Book of Potions are great crossovers from Harry Potter, books and kids games.
Sony and Ubisoft are close so I'm sure they could fit in the Rabbits and/or Rayman nicely.

A new BTTF ride, sure. But bringing the old ride back is a horrible idea because Simpsons is the same thing. I don't see Universal going for it anytime soon though, if they were interested in having a BTTF attraction they would've just refurbished the ride instead of spending the extra money to renovate the building and re-theme everything to the Simpsons.

Unless a BTTF reboot happens...the ride is not going to happen..The franchise was awesome while it lasted and is a great piece of cinema history..no longer relevant for Universal's image unfortunately

Now I'm sold! Make it a MACK Launch like Blue Fire!

That being said, I don't see a BTTF ride coming anytime soon. The franchise is just not relevant these days (love the franchise though).

BTTF has nothing to do with KidZone  I personally think we won't see another BTTF presence unless they build their own version of Great Movie Ride
