Well, it might be... it is the best weekend day you will find in December. It will be better than the Sunday after that... and that.... and that.

Too true.

Unfortunately I still haven't gone to the WWoHP!!! I was hoping to go in early December but all bets are off on that. It's likely that I won't be seeing the castle until 2012 D:

You live 3 hours from Orlando, catch an Amtrak up there if needed, and visit

Can't. Don't have the money. I live about 3 hours by car, down in Charlotte County... But I just can't afford it, otherwise I would tell my Mom "Cya" for a Saturday xD...

That is slightly difficult if you are 15 and don't want your parents issuing an amber alert. This is a website that is visited by others not in their 20's too after all. Post as if this is 10-90 year old guest website because it probably is close to being accurate.

I'm 14, but thank you for pointing it out lol... If I had the cash (and trust me, I need to buy stuff for Christmas, etc) I would go up this weekend. I also wanna save up some money for merch (I am a Harry Potter fan after all, I'd need to buy butterbeer, pumpkin juice, and my wand along with a few other things)...

It's been so very long since I've been on here, but I wanted to drop in and see what the crowds were like over Thanksgiving as we're considering a trip during that time next year or maybe the year after. Sounds like it was packed though. :(

Was this week any better (from Thanksgiving to now)? I don't see any mention of crowds, waits, etc. Have any of you been by there this week?

I know crowds build steadily in December leading right up to Christmas and New Year's Insanity, but would the week immediately following Thanksgiving be tolerable? I want so much to visit Orlando (both Disney and Universal) while there are Christmas lights on Cinderella's Castle but while the crowds won't swallow us up. Any suggestions???

Welcome back!

The week after Thanksgiving is a very good time to visit. IoA and Universal were essentially dead most of this week with FJ having waits as low as 10 minutes. Any time from the week after Thanksgiving through next week are generally a good time to visit. After that, the parks become worse and worse each day and I would recommend staying far far away.

It shouldn't be too busy at all. As a matter of fact, I'm hoping to go this weekend before the holiday rush.

Merchandise Update:

1. WWoHP Ornaments. Flat with Hogwarts castle, Hogwarts Crest, Gryffindor Crest, Harry, Ron, and Hermione variants. Been on sale for slightly over a week, but haven't seen them mentioned here.

2. Scarves. Saw an EXPLOSION of presumably new scarves being worn today. Sold in Filches, all 4 houses, much smaller and more manageable than the uniform replica scarves. They look great with house crests pre-attached. Not 100% sure if they are entirely new but never noticed before today and a large percentage of park guests used them to fight today's weather.

True, but if I wanted to do something I always found a way to do it when I was a kid too

Good luck Frog, hopefully you won't have to wait that long to go.

The holidays are coming up. Why don't you ask for a ticket?

Not every family can afford an $80 gift. Any way that we can pile on one or two dollars and get frogi there? Not sure how this is done. I cannot afford much but one or two bucks among many.

lol, My family wouldn't do that anyway - if I were to go, it would be all of us because "I'm not driving you up there and leaving and using my gas just for you to go" rotfl... I've almost got enough money to go on my own - $70 - but my Mom wouldn't drive me lol... So I would have to catch a train or something. But I'm willing to be patient and wait to go, so it's not a huge deal, just funny that I keep hearing one of my friends is going or something, you know?
