I don't know about dated, but it was based on a not very popular movie. It was the drummers and the lollipops girls that made it work.

Oh yes, the Lollipop Girls:thumbsup:. Big time loss there.

As I'm a bit unsure of where to put this..

TPU is hearing that Universal is developing a nighttime Parade for the Universal Studios Florida park, for 2022.

Changes expected here soon. Supposedly the new head of UOR hates the parade and a mandatory meeting was called with cast, to where they came out of it posting things like “that’s a wrap!” and “looking forward to helping with future entertainment creations”from entertainment managers.

It’s been 10 years of this parade, so it’s well passed time for a new one anyway tbh.

Thank goodness.
It just looks sad after seeing their amazing Christmas and Mardi Gras parades. They could easily challenge Disney for best daytime parade in Orlando.

Here's an idea for all those who want a history of Universal Great Movie Attraction.....A Parade that highlights the Universal classics....Jaws, Jurassic, Monsters, BTF, Kong, Shrek, DM, etc. and the Warner/Rowling/Universal classic Potter.....No F&F jinxed IP though.

Does anyone know if the Nickelodeon contract is still going to continue/be renewed after this? It would absolutely suck to lose Spongebob (though, iirc, it only happened in Hollywood because of budget cuts).

About time. The current parade has always been underwhelming, and we've seen from foreign and seasonal efforts that they are capable of producing far more sophisticated and entertaining offerings.

Short term: What does that do for the times throughout the day when a parade float would come out?

Mid-term: So... HHN then...

Long-term: Does Karen just hate THIS parade or all parades? Or, in another way, will we get another daytime parade?

Honestly, IMO Universal should lean in to the shorter dance party-esque mini parade out front of HMUS

It provides a short, sweet, but enhanced entertainment experience that doesn't disrupt the entire walkway

If they added a Potter and Jurrassic Park/World float, you could essentially parade one out every hour

It would also stop disrupting HHN

I also hate any parade that isn't Mardi Gras or Tapestry of Nations...so there's that

Every time I'm there people always seem to have the sidewalks clogged up to watch the parade.

Selfishly I would be happy to not have a daytime parade because getting stuck in Transformers or not being able to get to Mummy or certain sides of the park because parade has it blocked off is kind of annoying. But families seem to love them so they should hopefully have some kind of parade, whether daytime or nighttime.

This.

It's unfortunate that it seems Character Party Zone will be ending as well, as I'd argue that it's better than the parade. If CPZ hypothetically were to continue, though, they should definitely swap Dora for another property and then add another new section for more variety (Shrek & Trolls would work pretty well).

Parades are popular and a key part of balancing USF and the Universal Resort entirety, especially since it's young kid's/families activities are lacking. BUT, the Superstar Parade is now a bit outdated and
needs replaced with a better and more entertaining parade comprised of more relevant IP's. Good theme parks really need the diversity that comes with live entertainment, parades and night shows to
augment the ride attractions.
Balance is important, especially to families and guests over age 30. Only coaster parks can prosper by limiting themselves to satisfying the teenagers and twenty somethings and ignoring the other
age demographics.
