Has there been any new press regarding Tolkien and the lawsuits?

So... why not "Universe of Dreams" as a park name with a zeppelin or a rocket as the icon.

I like the Columbia Main Street idea. That sort of steam-punk/Victorian entry that leads to the a massive vehicle that can have nighttime shows projected onto it. Suddenly, the icon isn't just a place, it literally represents a journey that you take when you get there.

I love that idea.

I seriously enjoy seeing people's specific park ideas. As in, not just random guessing, but really well thought-out ideas for themes, attractions, titles, etc. I just love the creative spirit.

Like I said, I'd use it as a hotel on the edge of the park with a dedicated entrance to Dreamwork land that's home to several mini areas. Think of it as Art of Animation but better cause it's attacked to the corresponding part of the park. Perks like early and after hour resort guest only use and or special events.

Dammit You mentioned Zepplin. I still think the the failed Hard Rock Park idea should been in Orlando along side Hard Rock Hotel and it would have given the area it's Thrill park. Oh the what ifs are neverending.

I wonder if Universal would be willing to hold Halloween Horror Nights at this supposed 4th gate for a few years like they did at Islands of Adventure.

From my understanding, the big issue with holding it at IOA is that its lands are much more narrow in comparison to the streets of Studios Florida, making it difficult to manage parades and such, so that's why it's been exclusively there since 2006. I wonder if Uni would be willing to design the new park with HHN in mind better.

But I think the biggest issue is what lands they would be able to "horrorfy" and what lands they wouldn't be able to. Jurassic World would be fair game considering it's Universal's thing, but I feel a lot of outsiders lending their IPs to the park may have issues with it. Just look how stingy both JK Rowling and Dr. Seuss' widow are in regards to WWOHP and Seuss Landing respectively. With that in mind, I'd be really surprised if Nintendo let Universal signiciantly utilize their themed lands/attractions for the event. I'd imagine a lot of these companies don't want Uni to do the same thing they did to Marvel Super Hero Island back in 2002 with their properties.

HHN will stay where it is. However, I think the new park will receive its own family-friendly Halloween event.

Pokemon, Zelda, and Shrek would be pretty good fits for some sort of temporary Halloween events/activities.

and they have that new SNL halloween oriented animated coming out. Sounds like it may be a test run for a future park thing.

Dang, great job! Guess NBC has nothing worthwhile ;-)

Saw something about wanting to see the slaughtered lamb done an alley...kick in Felix the Cat and these guys could really take a turn for an adult gate in all of this...not to mention how much profit they must have made on that first Grey movie...

I think the better idea would be to isolate HHN at the new park and have a shared Halloween family event at USF and IoA.

Only way I see HHN move to a new park would be if the park lacks any major IP as its headliner.

I just think with 'three' gates, it makes sense for HHN to stay where it is. A hard ticket at the new property should wait until there are at least two gates in that area (in my opinion).

Now, I thought the center piece was to be a large feris wheel with a pollen coaster on it!

I feel that Dreamworks has so many beautiful landscapes that are generic enough to work. I do not think it would make sense to have an Icon that is based on someone else's IP.

I also feel they could easily design a castle or something in a new Shrek movie if they had to. I also feel UNI does a good job with site lines...I mean, anyone who has been to VB can tell you that you do not see this grand volcano until UNI wants to reveal it to you as you enter the park, so I am sure they can find a way to isolate some areas from others.

What if the new park was designed to better handle HHN crowds and make the event even bigger?

The people who design HHN will have minimal impact in designing the next gate. Creative may build it with the thought that HHN exists, but it’s incredibly unlikely soundstages will be built to support a new park.

So, if you want HHN at the next park, expect all the houses to be built in extended queues, restaurants, and temp tents.
