The only thing would be a nightmare capacity. Kong at USH works because it's on the tram tour which is like 30 minutes long, so there are a TON of trams rolling through the backlot at any given time. It seems like a system like this would have a very limited number of trams/trains.

Not to be overly simplistic... But OIA (the airport) tram here knocks thousands of people through like nobodys business. So good calculations by engineers and designers could make it work. I was one who thought that all of those massive robot vehicles on FJ was bordering on extreme failure. Lesson learned. They underestimated nothing. Hindsight; KUKA proven tech.. just the lower vehicles had to be true. So, as a fun time, more plausible ideas are welcome! Pretend you have a team that can pull it off.

I was merely choosing that which I found most logical. There is that word logic again! What were you thinking would be a clever place for a hogwarts express experience to begin its journey to a different park? The recent ideas posted are merely theoretical. So take your best creative ideas and create an entire scenario.

I really hate this idea. Who needs Potter at both parks? Not Universal, and probably not any of us. I love Harry Potter but I love the Universal parks way more. Expand the Wizarding World, yes, but the fact that it looks like it's becoming the Universal Orlando Harry Potter Resort really doesn't work for me as a longtime stan.

I was watching a Warner Brothers film today and next year Warner Brothers is opening a Backlot Harry Potter tour in England. It will have props and back stories from the movies including whole sound stages and such. I wonder if any of this will effect version 2.0

I don't think it will have much of an effect. Potter fans have known about it for at least a year, and you can bet Universal has known for longer, so it's not something that is coming out of the blue just now and so Universal is considering whether to do a 2.0 or not. Also, although both have the same demographic of the Potter fans, they're completely different experiences. The studio tour is like visiting a museum and this is a theme park with rides and full environments. Very different. There might be some business lost from Potter fans who are travelling from around the world and will now have another Potter destination to visit, so they might decide to spend their money to go to the UK rather than Orlando... but I think Potter 2.0 at Universal Orlando will do just fine ;-)

Woah!... But yeah, they could probably create a more authentic facade so we think we're entering a train carriage,when in reality we enter a regular tram car through the facade.

Not necessarily. The loading station of these theoretical trams could actually be right behind the model of the Hogwarts Express. So we see the locomotive and then we go around the wall into the loading platform and enter one of the carriages there. Then once the trams start to go we see on the windows/screens how we are pulling out of Hogsmeade station and going through the countryside, we experience whatever fun happens in between, and then we reach Kings Cross station in London.

I remember the slow days just a few years ago when the parks were ghost towns. Things are much better now.

New post from someone who has worked on WWoHP 1 in a design role:

Transformers is not going into the Amity area. There is a LOT of back and forth with J.K. and WB and that has been the hold up. Most of the facility planning has been locked in for several months. I think you will find this to be a suitable replacement for Jaws whether you like HP or not.

I think that's all the conformation we need...No?

^how is it any more awkward than Amity being there? Potter Phase 2 will be set in London. Different look from Hogsmeade.

Also, if rumors are true, LC will see some Potter expansion.

My guess would be the outskirts of Hogsmeade and the train station being where current Sinbad is, I would venture to guess they move the train from where it currently is to where the new actual train stop would sticking out the front of the building with the conductor now greeting you in this area instead.

The current entrance arch would stay where it is, they would move the Butterbeer cart to where the current train in to further open up the pathways for people to walk and not deal with a queue line for BB in the middle of the pathway. The train will probably enclosed insice a very long and narrow building using Kong 360 tech, either 3D or not 3D. When it comes to the backstage areas, the train will travel a long a path most likely used less frequently by cars, and more by walking, so think of elevated walkways above to get around. Also think of two tracks side by side which is cheaper to build than one above another, not to mention you don't want the building to be visible from other guest areas in the studios and IOA.

Here is the path I believe the train will take, its also the most logical.

Theme wise it would be awkward, Amity and the surrounding USF area is all American themed- New York, San Francisco, Hollywood, etc. London just wouldn't fit- even if it were in world expo.
