Maybe this makes sense to most people but 3 train cars with seating on one side of the car compartmentalized into cubbies that hold 4 people each like the films.... that doesn't sound like the Hogwarts express will cary a lot to me. Just sayin.

Each compartment holds EIGHT people each. We figured all of this out over a year ago and the numbers played well. We had it at over 4000 per hour keeping in mind a 4-6 minute turn around - both trains.

Yep, and we hashed that too. I wondered how lenticular would work but was told by DH that he believed it would be a similar yet different tech. I cannot recall what the tech was, but I am equally stymied by how it will work with multiple perspectives.

I was thinking it would be a Paralax barrier over the screen. There is a diagram comparing that to Lenticular lens on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallax_barrier

I believe it can be made with multiple "sweet-spots" the way it is to be arranged in the train.

^ Thanks Nate, I believe that is precisely what DH had suggested. DH, can you confirm just as soon as you pull your face away from that eyepiece for a sec?

I found these videos of a technology called "integral imaging." I don't know if they've been posted. The first one shows a fairly seamless range of view, and the second one mentions 3D images visible from "9 distinct viewing angles."

These were posted on youtube more than three years ago, so I would assume they've been able to improve the resolution, etc. since then.

I do believe that the HE WILL be in 3D. But a new glasses less high tech version. I have heard it will be similar in tech to a Nintindo 3DS.

I have heard that the tech being used is based off of this principle. Oh, and that the effect is pretty amazing.

But I should say that someone else tried to explain a multi-layered screen tech that he thought they were using.

I wonder if he knows who is making them?

These have come along way, but I do not think it is ready for a ride like this. I think we may see it used in other ways while they refine the technology.

It will never hit 4000 or even close. We're talking closer to 3300 because of unload/load times at BEST. You will maybe get 10 dispatches on a really good interval with a 5 minute time.

Now now, I was merely recalling, and 3300 is a lot closer to 4000 than 1500, the point of my clarification.

I'm assuming I'm very late and everyone has seen this...or? Not sure if it's real, but it looks cool.

It was a presentation piece from Dynamic Structures. It showcased scenic and mechanical elements and effects they're capable of producing for rollercoasters and rollercoaster/darkride hybrids. It had no resemblance to Gringotts in terms of layout nor did many of the elements. This piece focused more on physical elements where as Gringotts will focus on raising the tech bar on multimedia attractions.

Oh, was it just that tippy track, elevator drop video that then had the coaster going through multiple twists and turns among other over the top stuff? It was fun if not realistic. One has to wonder why it was removed at this late date.

We need to drop those capacity predictions by about 20-25%, Seems I may have some logistics in terms of train car capacity incorrect, as major interior changes to the cabins themselves were made between design, Europe, and arrival. More on that later...

^ That makes sense seeing as where the supposed projection protrusions are/were not present on earlier bid plans. Makes me wonder what else might have been altered. Sounds as if the cabins may have been reduced to 6 per, or a few of the cabins were removed for various reasons. If you could speed up that "later" HTF I would appreciate it.
