^ I think it's fine so long as everyone sticks to the exact purposes of each thread, as is happening so far. Everything visible and general expansion chatter in this one, everything spoilery inside EFG in the EFG thread, and everything purely soft/dates related in the other one (I'm largely ignoring that one anyway - let's face it, when softs start, we will know about it )

too many threads to follow now! I hope all the construction stuff gets moved over to the spoiler thread. There is no need for 3 threads.

It's the madness of Potter. You'll have people that want info, but no spoilers; or specific info without any of the discussion.

Today's Diagon Alley clue!

Did you catch it? Passes to all three parks. Always like to see those little moves that show how far along they are at bringing WNW operations under the UO umbrella.

From the Today Show. Posted by Orlando Informer. All aboard.

EDIT:

Also, the UOR website now has a concept rendering of Magical Menagerie that I don't think I've seen before:

EDIT #2:

The interactive WWOHP website has been updated with a mini virtual tour of Gringotts. It only shows the marble lobby, but if you click "Back to Diagon Alley," you get a good look at the goblin statue to the right of Gringotts.

They've also added a "Flying Tour" like the one of Hogsmeade. That's in the "Explore" menu at the bottom.

Warner Bros. just announced today that the first installment "Fantastic Beasts" will open Nov. 18, 2016.

Apparently this quote has been around since at least September, but I don't remember seeing it:

"Tsujihara indicated “Fantastic Beasts” would become a part of studio’s massive merchandising efforts and part of the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” theme parks."

I finally got around to the Diagon virtual tour. Im so excited to see Sirius' motorcycle next to Gringotts

Entertainment Weekly just posted an article on the expansion (of course they are owned by Time Warner): http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/05/13/escape-from-gringotts-harry-potter-universal-orlando/

Hmmm, knew about Bill Weasley's office but ...

"Visitors will walk into a recreation of the Gringotts Bank, where they’ll be greeted by Bill Weasley"

... does this mean Domhnall Gleeson did filming for the ride, too?

Is this him? http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/albums/userpics/84186/dragon-hd-screen-grab.jpg

That link didn't work for me, but yes, Domhnall Gleeson did do some filming for the ride. Must have been well before his new Star Wars role (which I am very excited about).

You can also see him in the shot with Bellatrix on the cart behind the grate to the left, so I assume he will have a large role in the ride. Maybe he will be the one bringing you to your new vault?

Loving the concept art for the Menagerie - it looks like a fun kind of shop. I'm really wondering whether there will be any sort of effect with the parked motorbike - after all, it's a FLYING motorbike. Of course, the fact that it's there at all is pretty awesome. I imagine Bill will be involved in the journey as the tour guide sort of figure - while the trio escapes, he'll lead us to safety from Voldemort... At least, that's the way I can see them using him... Oh, and it sounds as if street people will be put into effective use this time, witches and wizards and muggles simply walking around, which will be awesome if it's true.

Enough turbidity has occurred since I was told of this so here goes. One of the lead companies that won the contract to create props for phase I was a company called Austin2Paris. It appears they didn't survive financially and were unable to fulfill their deal with UC. So, that is why projects went out to a gazillion different houses in the year before Phase I opened.

Now, keep in mind that a few of the props might have been delegated to subcontractors of Austin2Paris, so all was not lost and their contracts were picked up by UC. It is all very dicey.

So, with Phase II on the horizon, it appears that UC muscled up its props department by hiring many of the former staff of Austin2Paris.

My point here is, during Phase I, UC had spit for a props department. This time, they have a substantial and clever team able to create most anything, even on a moments notice.

PS: The point of this post syncs with another post I made on this website today. Can you figure out which one it is?
