Universal was chosen by Warner Bros. Marvel had no choice.

But the description is somewhat accurate, nonetheless.

I think this seems like a great idea! I just wish the Disney parks would add more attractions more often! I mean look at Animal kingdom and Epcot...when was the last ride added?

As ever Vyrus has it right. It is business. However, contracts can be REnegotiated in whomever thinks it is in their favor at the time. So, Uni could give Dis one item to lower the yearly contract on another item it has rights to. Who is more valuable to Uni right now, HP or one Marvel superhero...?

To think that Disney bought Universal to spite MSHI is to simply try and find a way to hate Disney. Disney is a corporation. Much in the same way Universal is a corporation. There are MUCH more important things to worry about than the theme parks.

That being said, I would love to see a Stark Expo replace Captain EO, or even better Innoventions. At the very least the Iron Man universe is much farther into the future than the sad Innovetions wasteland.

Although we are going mental about this I do disagree Potter to Universal is much more acceptable rather then Marvel to Disney which is already at UO. It's like having Finding Nemo appear at Universal. Although Disney do have the rights to it, I just don't think they needed to venture in to this as they have thousands of other franchises to delve into.

True. But later on the land evolved into more of a futuristic community than a World's Fair. If TL were to revert back to the Expo theme, then perhaps Iron Man would make a little more sense.

Why does everyone think Disney bought Marvel just because of they wanted to piss off Universal? I don't think Disney bought a big, famous, and successful comic book company who makes billions of dollars on licensed film adaptations based off their characters and such... just because they wanted to flip the bird at some film company called Universal who owns this little amusement park in Florida which happens to have a land themed after Marvel characters? I argree with BriMan, you guys are acting so naive over this thing.

Because seemingly people always need to pit the two against each other. People can't just talk about each of their faults/triumphs separately. Somehow they always need to be related. I don't like it, but that's what it seems the fans of each need to do.

But that aside, I think Stark Expo taking over Innoventions is a great idea.

Your argument comes off as bitter, and really invalid. You're comparing Finding Nemo, which has always been a Disney property, to Marvel, which loaned it's rights to Universal to use as an island in a theme park.

Theme Parks make about rougly 10-15% percent of a company's revenue. Disney did not buy Marvel just to spite Universal for a small fraction of revenue. They looked at the movies, cartoons, toys, games, and comics before they looked at theme park possiblities.

As JungleSkip said, this all just seems as an excuse to pit the 2 companies for the sake of a "battle".

I know I sound a bit bitter, I really don't mind Marvel been owned by Disney but as long as they don't build any rides out of the franchise i'm fine with that as I think IMO it would just be weird. Yeah I get Disney clearly brought it for the revenue and the selling power. I agree it does sound like we are pitting the two companies against each other. But in all seriousness I really wouldn't care as long as Disney in florida (which I know won't happen anytime soon) builds a marvel ride, or any disney characters in marvel themes for that matter - if they did I would probably cry

God no, sorry, I should have elaborated more. IMO, Marvel doesn't have a place in any domestic Disney parks. Not because it's at islands, but because it just doesn't fit with DL. Marvel and Disneyland don't mix, IMO.
