According to Mr Lutz it's part of the new Disney Green program (or something like that) for the DLR.

Orlando Theme Park News has posted a first (albeit unintentionally funny) look of Ariel on the facade's ship.

That is sooooo a scene from one of the Indiana Jones films. It also relates to a pvt message I sent tonight on here, to one of the staff. Life is a queer man kitty.

KHS&S is the same company (I believe) that rebuilt the firehouse after HRRR was completed. They are a mega company that builds big things but also does a bit a Nassal type stuff.

Disney Parks Blog has an update on LM, and CONFIRMS that the ride is a clone, the only difference is the exterior and queue line.

Don't forget it will have an artificially inflated wait time that isn't justified!

 During my trip last year to DLR the wait time board read 30 mins to ride LM and we rode it three times within that 30 mins.

This is just a total let down.I didn't wanna do it but??

I finally went to utube to see the LM ride video and I was shocked I thought I was watching the video for Nemo :shifty:

We have always been Disney fanatical drones, going for 25 years sometimes 2X a year we even own at the beach club  ,we've been thru the hey days when everything looked perfect, even the bushes looked like they were pruned with a pair of sissors and you felt special. To the more recent disgruntled and angry years.
Now I had hoped that with the FLE and some influx of cash we would start seeing a upswing for the better both for the employees and the guests but now seeing the new FLE it looks like they are not even trying. "Just yank out the old spring water bottle from the trash and refilled from the tap". I get the feeling that Disney is taking my money and us for granted and that they really believe if they put mouse **** on some bread at Gastons and called it Mickey"s Patisserie Poupon. We would eat it with joy and favor :hail:

Uni had a bad run but at least they saw the light and are kicking azz now. We use to only go to uni every 3rd or 4th year ,now it has become the start of our vacation planning and disney as the second too.

end of rant

I believe many of us were hoping for a surprise... some wizbang addition. I don't expect much from Disney these days and yet have been pleasantly surprised by the pumped up tech they are displaying. So, I expect nothing but hope for something more.

I have not enjoyed a rant more than this one..The water bottle metaphor is perfect for what is happening around the parks...everything just feels recycled..we are not growing up, Disney is giving up

There's a bit more to that than wishful thinking though. We were never told anything different would be coming with mermaid. The same cant be said for Transformers.
