The complexity of this coaster makes me think that it will have the same kinds of teething problems as Gringotts... we know of at least two potential stops in the track with the possibility of other slow moving portions. Sounds fine to me!

At-least on the upside, we'll be probably seeing more proper tests conducted, considering it's more coaster.

The question, is for me, on Intamin handing switch-tracks, which while not new for them, isn't something they typically do for coasters.

which six flags is that? San Antonio ?

They have multiple versions of Freeze, with one at Arlington, Texas and one in Eureka, Missouri.

I get this, bit what if Jo said NO?

No to what?

Btw, I think people put more weight on JKR's involvement in these attractions than she really has. I think it's mainly Uni (+WB) Creative team coming up with final plans, then Jo is presented with them for her blessing and maybe some input, but more as a courtesy and formality than to pass some quality control check. I don't think she's as involved as people think or imply, and probably even less so these days, not only because of all her other projects, but because she probably has confidence in Uni+WB who did an amazing job with the existing attractions.

As a member of the male gender, being on a bike for a drop-track portion sounds like it could be quite uncomfortable....

Every since I saw the record store in the London waterfront, i’ve wanted a reason to say Jo says no. It was in reply to having a normal train car as opposed to the current assumption that space is taken up by a motorbike...so I was just trying to ask if maybe WB or JKR could have asked that the coaster trains be themed a certain way.

I have no clue who requires what. About the only thing I do know is they seemed to spend a lot of time ‘fixing’ those rocks near the Hogsmede stage for whatever reason.

I know of one very creative solution to the time problem when it comes to the ride's longest scene, but I've already said too much. :look:

Two separate show scenes in the same building, so the first train can begin its show scene. Then anothe rrolls in to the same building but maybe into a separate room with the exact same show scene that starts 20 seconds after or whatever. Or even a different ride scene with a different outcome to improve re rides.

P.s I commented as soon as I saw so not sure if someone else has predicted this also

Just talking about this.

Some fun Intamin issues over the years:
  • Cable failures
  • Retracking rides before it opens
  • Having to add supports and reinforcements after a ride opens
  • Frequent downtime due to design
  • Boat designs that cause flooding and sinking
  • A flume boat dislodging from the lift, rolling backwards, flipping upside down and trapping guests under water
Ooops forgot to mention these are all issues JUST FROM CEDAR POINT.

Intamin messed up the install of electrical and caused a long delay in testing.

Cables for Falcon's Fury were completely wrong as well and had to be remade, which caused a significant delay.

One scene on the top floor another scene on the bottom floor after the drop track? Maybe the time problem is just a play on words and shes hinting that there is a time turner involved in scene? Don't see how that would fit though

A year, to a year and a half, ago or so when we were discussing the upcoming Potter coaster, Disneyhead once said he had heard it was going to be B&M, then all the sudden things seemed to have changed quickly. So I am wondering, could it be that indeed the Potter project was first a B&M and that instead they opted to have the B&M project for JP? And who knows, maybe the Potter coaster was originally thought of as a JP project, and so they switched two projects around?

Potter project was never B&M, and I doubt the Jurassic Park one is either

If you ever watched the making off of the Hogsmead area JK had quite an involvement. She also was very hands on when Warner made the movies so if they do it on her behalf it's still her vision 100%. I also think Universal is smart enough to at least have her (or her team) sign of on anything before they invest in a ride, story or theming.

But... when Intamin gets it right, they get it right. And...lately, they seemed to have upped their install game.

Just about everything B&M does has been covered in Central Florida outside of a launch or wing. Having rode the wing coasters, there's nothing special about them from other other B&Ms with similar elements, especially the floorless. The stand ups aren't nice to certain anotomical features.

Is there any other coaster out there that sends a train up a 60˚ angle and locks it in place?

Many others have already pointed out coasters that do this, but so does Gringotts and Everest (though not 60*). It's a common element enough that it shouldn't be an issue.

Nice idea,
However I was under the impression it was more of the fact the ride scene in that building is that long that trains would catch up and be waiting outside if they didn’t have the option to have two trains in the scene at one time. Otherwise they’d have to delay the train leaving the main station.

Let’s just say, trains won’t be backing up waiting to enter the scene.

I believe I read JKR turned down monetary compensation for TOTAL last word on creative implementation of her IP.

It’s not like she needs the money. Her legacy is invaluable to her.
