HHN queues need to be designed better and more comfortably. I'm not asking for a massage and a complimentary drink that is handed to me while entering the queue, but at least some fans/tvs for entertainment/etc. I also don't want to worry about tripping on a curb/pothole backstage lol

TheWeeknd is bound to be a minimum 90+ minute wait each night, hopefully, they add some much-needed entertainment... other than clips that play on queue screens.
The difficult part is that anything added to the queue has to be broken down/set up every single night in that small window between daytime ops and house opening. Continuing to grow the HHN portion of the Universal app is a great start because everyone brings their phones with them already. Rather than having to prop up a bunch of TVs, shoot brief content for each house that can be viewed in the queue.

I would love a way for there to be "x minutes from this point" signs, but with the fluctuation in Express usage on any given night, and the switchbacks constantly expanding and compressing, it would be hard to be accurate to a point that guests aren't disappointed.

Totally agree on the fans. I think those are an investment that's worth the extra set up time. And perhaps add a free water cup stand to each queue. Yeah it undermines the $7 bottle of water that I'm sure they offer at the mid-queue beer stands, but I'd venture to say a decent chunk of visitors could benefit from an extra cup of non-alcoholic fluids. Trade a little bit of profit for some safety.

Well, to get us started on this...

We have Pumpkin Lord all over the merch, and on that witch stage we also have a cauldron.

What are the chances we see a live summoning of our favorite burping pumpkin?

I'd like to see them expand on what they started for the Pumpkin Lord last year. I was pretty excited to see the Pumpkin Lord on the new merch, hopefully, that means there is a presence in the park. But it won't be a big deal to me if there isn't.

Also, I don't think we really need to know EVERYTHING before opening night, I do like the excitement of discovering things at the park. For instance, I NEVER watch the Tribute store footage before I actually go in the store myself. I enjoy exploring those rooms and discovering stuff on my own.

I'm very interested to see what those trusses are for - both in Production Central and Central Park.

With the PC zone being "Traditional Halloween", I wonder what the trusses could actually be.

Part of me hopes the one in Central Park actually is partially enclosed. Starting to lean towards a "barn" facade there for Scarecrow.

i guess there isnt enough space for better lines and uni needs to cram as many people as possible into the lines, but i wish each line had security or a cop walking back and forth. just someone with authority, or a cop in bike, anything besides a team member. some lines dont even have any employees at all.

We can talk about all of the above, but I’d say with Universal’s tweet today it actually literally did give something to speculate on. I agree that people shouldn’t get their hopes up too high and be mad when it doesn’t happen. I said from my first post about their tweet oh not trying to get my hopes up. I don’t think anybody should’ve said it’s happening for sure tomorrow because of that tweet. But I think we can speculate by saying oh maybe it means announcement tomorrow . People need to keep it as maybes and speculation and not get disappointed when it doesn’t happen, absolutely. But I think it’s fair to speculate especially when Uni does start to give us something like that today. I’d say the speculation and wondering when it will come is part of the fun of the speculation season as well.

I'm sorry but no - I did not shut down the speculation. I said the full reveal wasn't tomorrow and you got upset when I wouldn't give the exact date for it. I've seen enough examples this year where narratives have been formed based on random speculation where I'm going to step in every once in a while and try to illuminate a path with some expectations. I also can't outright say everything I know for obvious reasons.

I don't mean to pick on you, but this year - I'd say we've been pretty lax on the modding in this forum. We gotta step in every now and then.

Ah yes, I see we're at the wacky meltdown over announcements period of speculation time. I've missed this. I spent the entire year thinking I wasn't going to be able to make it to HHN this year, but found out last week I have the green light. I don't care what they announce. Trip is booked and I'm a rube who likes at least 95% of what is presented every year anyway. The best part is I'll be there in a little over four friggin' weeks, so my excitement is all the way up. I've also booked 10AM Unmasking the Horror tour for Thu the 8th. It's all happening. It's all real. I'm crazy excited and sorry for the unasked for positivity in these turbulent announcement-free times.

I think it was more that I didn’t appreciate the sarcastic answer at that point. I think it could’ve been better worded at least and I’m not sure how you weren’t shutting down speculation, but anyway; sorry to cause all this at all, I shouldn’t have asked or said anything.

Why you have to ruin this thread dude? We wanted to continue complaining about drunk guests and the lack of announcements.

Jk jk! That's awesome! I'm sure your heart leaped when you got the news! Have fun! I'm kinda over the whole "WhEnZ tEh NexT aNnOuNcEmEntZZ" since we already have a pretty good idea of what the remaining houses will be and I'm fully booked for my trip as well! Whatever they announce, I'm going to go have fun, find the stand where they sell pumpkin beer, and use my Express for the Weeknd, and laughing at the angry, drunk guests waiting 150 minutes for it.

Not to speak for Brian (and I think we can safely let this go after this), but I’m not sure what you expected him to say. He cannot state when he has heard the full reveal to be without getting people in trouble. The sarcastic response is an acknowledgment of that - you asked him a question you should reasonably understand he cannot answer.

All Brian was “shutting down” was the possibility of a full reveal tomorrow - and frankly, he did this as a kindness, as I’m guessing many people here would’ve potentially hyped themselves up and been crestfallen when no complete reveal happened.

Anyway… employee preview is in 3 weeks. The event is nearly here. Let’s get excited.

LOL you guys are more plugged in than anyone in the world, you’d think official announcements would matter less here than literally anywhere else. Are official names and a couple marketing blurbs confirming what you already know really that exciting?

What @Clive said.

My initial response still allowed y'all to speculate "well if it isn't the full reveal, what could it be?" and "If it isn't tomorrow, when is the full reveal getting dropped?"

Look at it from everybody else's point of view...99% of the people on this forum have ZERO insider info and people with the "prove me wrong, I expect announcements today" argument are frustrating. Even insiders don't really know. Sometimes, as Joe illustrates, they might know that announcements are NOT COMING TODAY, but that doesn't mean they know exactly when they're coming.

People need to chill out and not take stuff personally. Hell, Murdy has done the pricking of his thumb posts when no announcements happened that day. To think that Murdy is in the dark for this stuff yet random forum people know is ridiculous.

BASELESS SPECULATION ALERT: In the past, Legacy has been known to drop full original house names prior to announcement. With all the turnover in the parks, perhaps his sources are no longer with Universal so he hasn't announced them...or the fact that they haven't been announced yet so his "day/hours before" habit hasn't been valid yet.

Not to mention that he said Stranger Things wasn't coming months ago, and his reward for sharing that info was to be called a troll and told that it's waaaaay too popular and S4 had too many perfect house locations to not be coming.

Whatever. To ask hundreds of people with no inside sources if they THINK an announcement MIGHT happen on a day and get upset that you didn't get confirmation/denials either way is a bit ridiculous.

We're all super excited and waiting for info...but it's like demanding to be told if you won the Mega Millions jackpot the night before the drawing...and being pjssed when you don't win.

Sarcasm is ofen a result of frustration...so again, don't take it personally.

EDIT apologies for the horrible post...posting via phone with a bandaid.on one thumb so it was a bit of a mess...tried to clean it up.

This thread is just a great reminder that destinations *technically* don't owe you anything EXCEPT the literal product you're paying for. Is the pre-travel communication, sizzle reels, announcements, promo videos, etc. nice? Absolutely. Are they OWED to you? Not even for a minute.

To return to actual speculation: I am VERY curious by the witchy bar setup that has appeared in San Francisco. That looks more comprehensive than booths in that area, right? The pylons in the out-of-the-way seating area intrigue me. Do we think this is going to be a full(er) bar to take some strain off of Chez Alcatraz and Finnegan’s?

I'm really excited to see how it shakes out. They really seem to be tying that entire area together.

Love the theming of the booths near Kidzone too - anyone know what the yellowish one is supposed to be?

Hope so. As much as I love Finn's as a hangout spot, there isn't a legit "horror bar" chill spot in the park.
