Ha. Let's just say it would have been open by now...I forget why it was canceled, but it doesn't mean we can't see it resurface sometime

Hmm, I'm surprised I never hear of this phase 2 stuff before. Wish it would have happened

No time like the present to dust off old plans!

I'm sure something will come in 2014. BGT seems to add a new attraction every three years.
1993-Kumba
1996-Montu
1999-Gwazi
2001-Rhino Rally
2005-Sheikra
2008-Jungala
2011-Cheetah Hunt
2014-????

I don't know much about BGT to even know if 200ft is realistic, forget 300ft. If a Eurofighter is more what they have in mind after investing in the last two additions, it would make sense. I just look at their current lineup and a hyper+ with a custom speed layout would pretty much seal the deal on their status as a coaster mecca.

It's definitely possible. Millennium Force at Cedar Point is 310 Ft.

Well...technically shekria is a hyper coaster by definition lol..
Seriously, I agree with a very small few, keep gwazi and topper track the hell out of it! Can you imagine, flush barrel rolls while entering from opposite sides! If they do a traditional :P hyper I think they should give MACK rides a chance. They've been upping the ante a lot lately...

I heard you should expect something BIG... for both the busch parks. Keep in mind that this info was aligned with other expansions which appear since then to have stalled out... I've heard whispers of what to expect at BGW... But nothing other than "big coaster" for tampa.

If they were to be related to each other in terms of type of coaster... I'd expect a B&M.

I would figure considering what a strong relationship Sea World/BG has with them. Thanks for the info.

I really like Gwazi, but I can see your point.

It's just way, WAY too rough, but I'm glad you understand. And hey, it's not that I don't enjoy a good wooden coaster myself, I've just been spoiled by the smooth steel coasters. ;)

I'd love to see them add then topper track! Is there really any reason why they couldn't or wouldn't? I'd hate to see them demo this if it can be saved with that track overlay.

I'd take a topper track replacement and new layout as well. Then again I'd also understand a demo too.

Even though this thread has been quiet for a while, I just wanted to put my two cents. As a huge coaster fan obviously, I hate this idea. Gwazi is my favorite coaster at BGT, and the only decent wooden coaster we have in Florida. Why is it that all wooden coasters don't last down here?! I know woodies have higher maintenance and are costly, but the ride experience is so much more unique. I support re-tracking in hopes that Gwazi has a long life ahead of it.

BGT's next big coaster should be a Wingrider located in Congo/Jungala.

I agree 100% with your statement! I hate the idea of tearing out Gwazi for the next coaster. I would love another coaster, but I'd much rather see the park tear out Rhino Rally than Gwazi or place it behind Congo/Jungala.

However I personally think BGT's next coaster should be a hyper or giga than a Wing Coaster (why is it that we don't have a Hyper in Florida yet? :look:). SWO should have the Wing Coaster instead!

I want whatever replaces Gwazi to have a less than 54" height requirement, since I'm sure a good chunk of kids can ride Gwazi but not some of the larger coasters.
