It would be great if they pulled a California Adventure and made an entrance there (which would be roughly behind river adventure). But from what I've heard it's going to walk you along the side of the road and dump you down on Royal Pacific's walkway next to citywalk.

Fun story, when potter first opened and they were looking for any and every way to capitalize on the popularity one of the ideas was a harry potter themed hotel with a park entrance into the wizarding world.

I've heard the same about the walkway and after taking a close look two days ago, there will need to be some work done for guest safety before you hundreds if not thousands using it. Also heard a possible entrance into IOA with the JP Expansion but that's just a silly rumor.

I'm interested in how they are going to get this done and still have it look nice. There isn't that much room behind ripsaw, spider-man and hulk when you consider they need 2 lanes of traffic on the service road, and trees to block the view of the back of the buddings. It leaves the path for the walkway pretty slim.

And the thing that really made me think no way is the JP entrance going to pan out is you would obviously work that into your high end hotel, not your low end.

Precisely! That should be the last nail in the coffin for that argument :lock1:

Silly rumor but you did mention it so there has to be some merit to the rumor for you to even bring it up

I noticed you said initial placement, because the placement on that model makes no sense with the quoted setup. It would have to cross the other way for that to work. I would hope they rethink the IoA entrance, because that would be great.

As for the Potter hotel, don't count it out. In a sense.

Will there be a temporary entry way by JP to allow construction vehicles in and out for it's expansion? Maybe, if there is, they may decide to make it a gate for CBBR guests and that's why the bridge is placed where it is in that model of the resort. Just wishful thinking.

If they were to make an IOA entrance for Cabana Bay, it would likely utilize the already in place access road that runs between Dudley and the empty lot next to JPRA. The original placement of the bridge would have made more sense had this been the case.

Which would then empty out through the current service gate right in front of the area where Toon Lagoon exits into Jurassic Park.

Agreed, but I'm sure the CityWalk tenants would be pretty pissed that you'd be able to bypass so many $hopping and dining opportunities. I don't think there's any reality where an entrance to IOA is built just for this hotel.

This is exactly why they are not building a new drop-off point for the Cabana Bay guests. Uni wants them to go through CityWalk from the start so they will be dropped off at the current Taxi/Bus drop point.

Thank you for the pictures BJCool. I didn't realize there was an access road already right there.

Which Orlando Informer then photoshopped into an aerial view of UOR.....

A water park would look great on that land between them.

has anyone come up with a solid reason why they didn't put CBBR in that plot adjacent to royal pacific?

They moved on from the full themed potter hotel pretty fast. Though I'm sure there are still various ideas being thrown around.

I see where you are going with that, but in the end dumping in JP is actually more work at first, but easier for running the park. That service road your mentioning is the one and only access road (with a brief pass through the park) to camp Jurassic, the discovery center, blutos and the discovery center landing (big with catering). It's also a private event drop off point and fire department access point. Putting an elevated walkway across the storage area with some tropical plants to either side to block view would allow the operation of the park to continue. Also when I heard rumblings of this idea around they mentioned it coming into JP.

Because of the Loews branded hotel #5 that can be built there and would have access to the water taxis.

A few from today, and the last two picks is the excavation going on in the plot between CB and RP.
