Probably not, would be cool to see a boutique or hostel in there....

The 10,000 - 15,000 hotel rooms that they could build, I seriously thought of a Botique Hotel. Small footprint Maybe 20-30 rooms exclusive.
IF any of those places BriMan listed gets the axe, the space that would be created sent my mind wondering haha.

Isn't CityWalk lit up 24/7? I could imagine they would need some serious black-out curtains for all those lights.

No, it isn't, most of the lights and music are shut off around 3 AM. I love wandering around CW when it's all dark and quiet.

The biggest issue would be noise from vehicles. All the maintenance and cleaning has to be done sometime.

If I'm not asked to work late, I really want to check it out after I get off at 5:30.

Thanks for that insight. I stayed on property last year, but got into bed by 1:30 every morning so I never saw the difference. I just assumed.

Might be stretching it, is it possible to see a mini hotel in city walk?

I would say it could be possible. If I'm not mistaken, either USJ's CityWalk or TDR's Disney Village has some hotels directly there.

I just looked at the Vivo menu. Why is it so reasonably priced? The entrees are like half the price of those at Disney's Italian restaurants.

Did you find it online, or were you at CW? Give me an idea of the offerings, please!

The inside of Vivo looks really swanky, very nicely done. The menu sounds great! Also good to see some photos of the wider area around Hot Dog Hall of Fame which I've been trying to figure out the layout of for ages.

There will literally be an entire week's worth of new options to try next time I'm in town - between Antojitos, Red Oven, Cowfish, Vivo, and the ever-present Bubba Gump, I won't know which way to turn. Makes a nice change from the 'old guard' of Pastamore ect.

The gnocchi is highly recommended...light and delicious. Also, the eggplant parm was delicious. It was so good it could have passed for veal parm.

Gnocchi can be so heavy and sit on your stomach like a lead weight, so it's good to hear that their version is nice and light.

I just noticed something-no seafood, unless there is a page we aren't seeing (other than linguini with clams). I love seafood and don't eat much meat, so I hope they have shrimp or something.

Awesome! I love gnocchi (which is hard to find) and eggplant! Looking forward to trying both! Any info on desserts?

Right above it there's Squid Ink Seafood, and on the other menu, near the bottom, there's Branzino / Sea Bass

For some reason they didn't do deserts at mock service.

Does anyone have an overview layout photo of the expansion? Like a before and after pic of where things are in relation to where previous restaurants and shops were?

Why does nearly every Italian restaurant focus on traditional white pasta? There are so many other options.

The first page of the menu looks great, though. Someone add this to Foursquare already so I can put on my to-do list, lol.

Just came home from a pretty great dinner at Vivo. They were pretty busy, but mostly a lot of team members who knew they were opening today.

The open kitchen is still there, in the same location, and guess who was cooking tonight? Steve Jayson! The interior is beautiful, but definitely noisy.

Other than some minor service issues (our waiter brought our salads, a few minutes later an expediter brought the same thing, server mispronouncing certain terms, or not exactly explaining things the correct way), it was really good. Fresh baked bread is brought to your table, and all tables have a bottle of olive oil for dipping. I had the roasted beet salad, delicious, and hubby had some mozzarella/cream/endive salad, also wonderful. Our entrees were the fiochetti-little purses of fresh pasta filled with gorgonzola and pears, served in brown butter sauce with walnuts, and a braised short rib stuffed ravioli. For dessert, we shared the zeppoli, which was the only disappointment. The zeppoli made from pate choux (eclair dough) and stuffed with pastry creme, instead of a doughnut-type dough stuffed with ricotta cheese. However, I did enjoy all the fresh fruits in the zabaglione sauce around it.

There is a halfway decent wine list, there could be more wines by the glass, and an assortment of beers and specialty drinks. Because I had to drive, I chose not to have any alcohol. My husband was hoping for some Italian sodas, but there were just the usual Coke products.

Looking forward to another visit, hopefully when I haven't just gotten off work, am hot, sweaty, and terribly tired, and can enjoy some wine with my meal.
