Haha I know it's a joke but what was proposed to me are cartoony clouds and not the realistic ones seen in DCA.

I was being a bit facetious with my answer, but I guess they're seriously going to go that route. I guess the silver accents are also staying.


Can't wait to see what the final product looks like. Hopefully it won't be like Transformers all over again.

Trust me, Despicable Me is being designed by a completely different Universal. It might be one of the best attraction Facades we have in CA. The days of minimalistic show buildings/entrances are a thing of the past.

Haha, yeah, just a joke. I'm totally expecting cartoon clouds. I think we already have a preview of their shape: behind Gru's neighborhood and directly behind the facades are cloud shaped structures that I pointed out a few months back that are even more prominent now. Their purpose now is to hide the show building from view, but I think the clouds will blend in with the painted clouds.

They're either clouds, or hills that are meant to create some forced perspective.

They're too "curly", for lack of better words, to be hills. They cut outs behind the facades are either clouds or trees. Trees sounds very possible.

Trees most likely. Layers are going to be the way to go on this building to disguise the back of the neighbor's houses.
