I don't think it will be like the LA version, but instead much more watered down to fit families. Personally, I'd love to visit the real one in LA, as it seems just my style. I'm interested to see if Disney will create a version that I'd be interested in visiting.

I don't think it will be like the LA version at all - unless The Edison AND The Tunnels are both concepts to come to reality. The Edison is in too much of a prime space, especially with families nearby (I know, not a legit excuse, but this is Disney we're talking about and they will place restrictions).

If there was/is a speakeasy type place downstairs though, that place could potentially be more like the LA version, a smaller space since it would be hidden, but they could do a burlesque show there and everything would be fine and dandy. I don't see them getting away with burlesque upstairs.

Are there any clubs in Disney Springs? The Edison in LA is a club, complete with a doorman and a strict dress code. Would be sorta interesting to have a certain section of the Disney version that follows the same rules and philosophy.

Come to think of it, this would be a great fit for CityWalk

House of Blues has club nights of Sundays and Wednesdays, which is mainly populated by the CM (mostly DCP) crowd and very popular, but other than that, The Edison is it. If Disney even allows it to be like LA, which I have a lot of doubt.

Agreed on the quick-serve, tho probably could use something more substantial than just the one pizza place. But it's a start.

Yeah, good start. That side of DTD has been desperate for quick serve food places since it PI and West Side opened. Of course PI was always more of a drinker/partiers paradise than anything.

Before Starbucks opened, the only place to eat on that side of DTD that wasn't sit down was Cooke's of Dublin. Starbucks obviously is more of a grab and go place for drinks, but it fills a void. Erin McKenna's is also nice and I assume the cupcake ATM place will be a hit. But a real quick serve locale with the pizza joint helps. Still needs more, but it helps. I have some ideas on what i'd like to see, but i'm not sure what The Town Center's "theme" is/if it really matters. If not, i'd love to see a In-n-out or Jack in the box. Would be very unique to not just Orlando, but to Southeast US and locals would absolutely love it.

I could see an In-n-Out coming to Citywalk...I think DTD is going more for the thematic elements of the 'bustling water-side city/travel/starbucks' look...

If you go by Disney's backstory, Disney Springs is set in present day and was an old Florida springs town that (as seen by the already opened or under construction restaurants), in simplistic terms, showed a love for different modes of transportation, much like Walt Disney himself. The story continues that much of the town was re-purposed to be a bustling dining/entertainment complex. Really pretty dumb, but you get the idea.

So honestly, anything could go into Disney Springs if they want. However, I think they are trying for either period establishments or higher end establishments. I mean, even the Cupcake ATM place has more class than a In 'n Out.

Yeah, that was just spitballing for what i'd preferably like to see and would likely be very popular.

Disney can't open a restroom without there being some semblance of story attached to it, nevermind a full-fledged shopping/entertainment district.

Didn't Shake Shack skip DS though? And that's why they're doing their I-Drive locale?

IIRC, that wasn't the announcement, that was a leaked photo of candidates that were being considered.

I'm not sure if anyone knows 100% if Shake Shack skipped out on DS or not. Who knows, maybe they will open one in DS as well.

Yo idk about anyone else but Disney Springs sounds l i t, these new dining outlets and bars make Citywalk look maaaaad weak in comparison. Universal really should step up the fine dining aspect of their resort. They got both Emeril's, the Palm, and Bice...that's literally it.

Fasho. We need more $50 steaks and there's no place to get a good $40 dessert like the Boathouse.

Diss many places in DTD all you want, but don't diss The Boathouse before you've experienced it. It is truly worth every penny.

Oh, I would eat at The Boathouse, no problem. But a $40 dessert? I'd sooner die.

Yeah, I wouldn't think $40 for dessert is worth it unless you are a major foodie. But the rest of the food is great.

What's wrong with a $50 steak? Go to any decent steakhouse around the world and you're paying at least $40 for an 8oz filet. Never got why people were so up in arms about Boathouse...the prices are fair in regards to what the restaurant is.
