Thanks for the update. Did you by any chance get to see what the crowds were like at the AMC? No movie theaters here in North Carolina until at least mid-September.

When I was there on Wednesday night the crowds at AMC were non-existent. I literally saw one person walk in and that was when I realized the theater had reopened.

Can’t wait to try it when the virtual wait time isn’t 1-3 hours long!

This honestly is one of the coolest themed places in Disney Springs and it isn’t even a Disney owned store.
So cool.

The lines are long now, but in a few weeks it will be dead-- that's when I'll visit. Just like all the other things at DS that had huge lines when they first opened because all the lifestylers and CMs HAVE to be the first to try it, then it fades into the background.

Ended up back at Disney Springs for a quick trip yesterday, I was quoted a 50 minute virtual queue but I think it only ended up being around 30, then the line itself was 15-ish.

I absolutely love the decor in there, it’s now my favorite little place in Disney Springs just for that decor aspect alone, and the cookies were delicious too!

It can really be boiled down to there being an open space and some executive being tired of trying to find a parking spot at East End Market.

It's a paranormal bookstore. What's demonic about it?

Do you not go to Universal? If you've seen the sheer number of pink boxes walking out to the garage every night, it becomes clear. Affordable Gram-ready treats from a kitschy bakery is the way forward for the foreseeable future.

Exactly, Gideon’s is simply Disney’s Voodoo Doughnuts.

Wait? I thought Voodoo was Universal's "Sprinkles"?

Idk who’s claiming that one, but, unless Sprinkle’s changed to a creepy cute aesthetic and I haven’t caught on (or you’re joking and I’m not catching on either lol) IMO, Disney absolutely didn’t have anything on property comparable to Voodoo Doughnuts vibe-wise until Gideon’s opened.

The shop aesthetic seems secondary to the reason why it was added: popularity of the item in the local Orlando area and Polite Pig and a continuing trend towards photogenic desert items (Sprinkles, Voodoo, Toothsome, etc).

Sprinkles was all the rage with the princess loving cup cake Disney Demo.

Then Universal does it with donuts for the Horrorz loving Universal Demo.

Spinkles was never all the rage. It stopped having lines after a few months. It's also extremely overrated and, imo, not all that good.
