So I just saw this trailer and I have to say i'm genuinely intrigued. I hope it's not another fakeout from Netflix where it looks good in the trailer and then they give you a crap sandwich. Also, Reynolds actually seems to be doing something a bit different than his usual schtick, which makes me interested at as well. He seems to actually be acting instead of playing himself more or less.

Watched this tonight and thought it was a good popcorn movie. The slow more emotional moments were much better than the science fiction parts. While the plot has a lot of similarity to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Avengers: Endgame, I still thought it was a worthy watch, but if you don't like Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds or Shawn Levy's directorial style, then i'd skip this one.

I love Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds so I’m sold.

Ryan actually gives one of his best performances in this film, but the "Ryan Reynolds character" still exists in this film, Ryan just doesn't have to do most of it as it's a time travel film where the main storyline of the film revolves around "older Adam" and "young Adam", which you meet about 5 minutes into the film.

It's a strong family film that's a throwback to many 80's movies, but also being it's own thing (much like how Free Guy is about video games, but it's also its own thing. Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy have proven to be a great Actor/Director combo.

I guess this is the best place to post this for now. Will Smith is teasing that Jaden Smith is preparing "to take the place of one of the characters who will make history for the first time in the saga of a movie that many already know and ask for".

As such based on that description that Will Smith gave, many are speculating that Jaden has been cast as Miles Morales.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before, I think it has, but Abbott Elementary on ABC (streams on Hulu) is A+. Is it iconic? Not necessarily but it is truly The Office: School Edition. I mean that in the best way!!!

Very promising start, especially for a network sitcom.

My problem with it, if true, doesn't lay with Jaden because of anything to do with his acting abilities, but his age. He's already 23 so starting with a "young" version of the character might be out, especially by the time they got filming.

More so though, I feel strongly that someone cast to play the role in live action should not only be black, but also Puerto Rican/Hispanic as that's a big part of who he is. The actor I really feel should be Miles is Miles Brown (he's been known for playing Jack on Black-ish for years). He's only 17 right now and is Afro-Latino. Additionally, I would like to see Donald Glover as Aaron Davis/Prowler.

Ah! I remembered he was in Homecoming for about 2 seconds, but didn't remember the character.

I'll be honest...I can wait for Miles. Like at least have Spiderman have one more film by himself before Miles comes in

But I'd rather have them push other spiderman/gwen until they are getting closer to Spiderman being retired from the MCU

I'm more than ready. We've had three Spider-Men and they're all sort of the same. Different, but still same at the core of who the character is. And I don't want Miles to come in after Peter leaves, I think it would be freaking awesome to have a movie where Peter dates Gwen in college while training Miles and fighting off the Prowler among other potential villains. This movie would be mostly a Miles movie in my mind, but Peter would help guide Miles (which would then allow Tom to take time off from the character).

Idk what Sony is willing to do on the streaming side, but I feel it would only be natural that they hook up with Marvel at Disney+ to do a miniseries origin story for a character like Spider-Gwen, which would lead into the movies.

Saw Everything Everywhere All at Once, my favorite film of the year so far. Good action, some laugh out loud scenes, good message and great acting.

I hope A24 kinda makes more film's like this.....while I know people love the weird weird stuff like Lamb from last year or say this new horror film called "men" they are so out there but feel like they are at their best when they do things like Everything Everywhere All at Once, Lady Bird, Hereditary, 8th Grade, Mid 90's and The Farwell which while not "main stream" are just interesting good stories and seem to get critical buzz and sometimes make some money because of word of mouth.

So Will Smith punched Chris Rock onstage during the Oscars.

I couldn’t tell what the hell was going on in that moment. Seemed like a WWE type skit that was really out of place.

It wasn't a punch it was a slap and wasn't any sort of skit. Jada has Alopecia Rock quipped about her shaved head and how he was looking forward to to GI Jane 2, Smith took offence walked up on stage and slapped him when back to his seat and was heard shout up to Rock keep my wife now out of your f'in mouth

Simultaneously the most engrossing Oscars in years in terms of raw entertainment value but also a mortifying display of unprofessionalism and disrespect to filmmaking as an artform (insulting Last Duel because "no one watched it?" Seriously?). Also weird and blatant Disney synergy abounds; shouting out White Men Can't Jump felt odd until I remembered Hulu is doing a remake this year. And Let it Go? Honestly.

The "Fan Favorite" Oscar that were engineered to give Marvel a prize going to, in ascending order, Johnny Depp, Camilla Cabello and Zack Snyder was hilarious though.
