As a Florida resident Annual Pass holder that currently lives and works overseas I can’t help but feel extremely annoyed that all this is happening. I’m sorry but people in my situation are the ones that spend thousands on flights, hotels, tickets/express passes but are getting the middle finger from Universal

A warning for any who do decide to see the houses. Bring ice water, don't do alcohol until after. I saw a half dozen people being attended to in and around the TF queue medical and I didn't attempt Brides due to the full sun. Bring an umbrella, water, ice if you can, hat etc. It can sneak up on you fast. Those wheelchairs were getting a workout

This is great advice! Hopefully they will maybe have water spots throughout the queue? Prob not, but just throwing this out there

So. Curious to hear anyone's thoughts on houses--granted, I view anything as bonus. If they're lackluster, I don't believe it should count against it. Entirely bonus. :)

It wouldn't mix with the distancing of the queue which was good. I heard a comment wishing that they had the drink carts, I couldn't agree more.

I understand you’re upset and I empathize but this is not Halloween Horror Nights. It’s a modified, quarter offering of houses that are heavily rumored to be available at the actual Halloween Horror Nights next year. Chances are you’re not missing anything.

Please let’s try to keep this thread calm.

Drink carts would be genius. I hate paying for water, but when it’s this hot and humid out, I will bite the bullet and do it

...yeah, that may be a bit too grim for a store in Kidzone.

On one hand, that's a pretty cool skeleton and I love how it's dressed like it's sunken underwater with the clothes and hair floating up.

On the other, that is a tad freakier then what you'd see in a KidZone gift shop during the day.

Didn’t go but just from Twitter, Tooth Fairy is getting big love. Bride seems to be a bit more mixed, I think the story is also a bit confusing to people (I noticed the Uni description makes no mention of the Brides Of Dracula part of the story).

Believe me, they'd rather have you there, too. They're just dealing with the card they've been dealt, just like all of us.

No, the TM uses tongs to place it in the TrT bag.

Yeah from that angle - it does.

Here are some other angles:

I agree that some are a little grim, but I saw kids eating all this up throughout my visit. All that matters.

Love the themed skeletons. What is the candy sampler prize if anyone has insight?

FWIW, after today, canceling HHN was the right call.

I loved experiencing these houses, and hope this replacement event can succeed for 2020 - but there was no way they could've done 10 of them in an altered HHN.

But do you think that overall this was a success? If so, could we be seeing an extension?

Can't say. Today was just Premier Passholders. The real test comes tomorrow and Sunday.

It has to thread a needle. It needs to be successful, but also not SO successful that it’s impossible to manage once they start advertising it.

There are a lot of things they may not have fully considered. Like the number of guests needing medical attention. Or the sheer amount of overflow. If they expected, say, 10 medical treatments an hour and got 40-50, then it’s stop being an acceptable risk and starts becoming a liability.

Tomorrow will be interesting.

Would universal adding umbrellas or something be feasible? Or there really is no way to help provide shade

If they have them, it’s feasible. Umbrellas don’t help with humidity, though. There’s a reason most outdoor queues for attractions have misters and fans.
