Hollywood started allowing costumes middle of last season (or maybe it was the year before). It was definitely discussed here. I'm sure they know the protocol by now.

I'm not sure how it impacted ops/security (I wasn't on the ground), but they seem to be pressing ahead. People have basically been wearing costumes since 2018 with folks dressing up as the Stranger Things kids, so, I guess it was a losing battle.

Bringing this up here; but as per Theme Park Parker--Discover Universal's USH HHN blog has indicated the codenames for Monstruos and Dead Exposure:

Crumble - Dead Exposure
Churro - Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America

The X trilogy would be a lot of fun as a Terror Tram, especially with a part of the latest film taking place on the lot, specifically at the Bates Motel. A24 hasn't teamed up with Horror Nights yet, have they? Maybe next year.

In regards to costumes at HHN, I've been wearing my B&T (Bill specifically) outfit since 2007... then people had to copy . So now I just wear it on the anniversary of the show's (USH) death and Halloween. I did/do it only because it passes as "regular/non-costume" attire. (In 2009, I did a "Ghost Bill" version- greyscale).

In 2008, I did dress up like Speed Racer due to the B&T show lol.. outside of the cheap costume jacket, it looked like normal clothes.

When I worked the event in 2018, on Halloween, I combined my Phantom mask with the B&T outfit- "Phantom of the B&T Show". One of our Halloween 4 scareactors came as "Mariah Scarey" (I have a pic buried somewhere).

Final night has always been reserved for my Wyld Stallyns shirt. I'll die before stopping that tradition lol

Just suddenly remembered this tweet from earlier this year and I have to ask: what in the world could this be referencing?

I think this is a very good guess. Just thinking about some of the previous TCM houses is enough to induce my gag reflex.

Curious what kind of kills we could be seeing then outside of the typical chainsaw to the stomach, limbs or face...

Maybe a factory "meat" grinder?
(Also I expect this to be a wet house)

El Cucuy's section could be a contender. The original maze is definitely the most insane one in HHN post-hiatus history. It might not have been the scariest or most inventive maze, but if you just looked around for a moment and took in the scenery, you were definitely like "wait a minute, this is effed up beyond my worst imagination!" Little kids with holes in their bodies stuffed with candy or pumpkin guts is legit so crazy, it crosses the boundary over laughable, then back to insanely disturbed lol

This year's show in Waterworld leaked
1000009925.jpg

Just kidding. Saw this fake AI image & had to pass it along since almost everyone dies in Slaughterworld anyway.

Back to our regularly scheduled waiting...

Hopefully Murdy said to himself: think of ways to kill people.

The chainsaw to the head and face being sliced off (with a ridiculously domestic electric kitchen knife) in part 2. The meat hook, the butchery, imaginings of the implied violence from part 1.

The most cringe: chop top scratching his exposed skull plate with coat hanger wire lol.

Texas Chainsaw is a very good property for explicit grime and gore, so I (i) agree with the guess that he is referencing TCM; and (ii) hope that the guess is right! The whole meatpacking factory element - which is only implied in the first movie! - could be absolutely revolting in all the best horror-y ways.

I've been begging Murdy and co to partner with A24, there are so many properties there that NEED to make their way to HHN: Talk to Me, X Trilogy, The Witch, Hereditary, Green Room

Yeah, I think Midsommer probably has a broad enough appeal, freaky enough visuals and enough cultural cache to make something happen. The rest of the A24 canon... I'm not sure.

I agree. Midsommar feels like the only real candidate, and even then, we just did Blood Moon, which shares a lot of elements (and even takes them further). Can't immediately think of another A24 horror film that would easily translate.

If Maxxxine does Midsommar numbers (not impossible, tracking actually has it opening higher than Midsommar), they could do a quick and dirty X trilogy house.

In general, with A24's recent move towards more commercial movies, I think we'll see a house from them sooner rather than later.
