I’m having a hard to believing that GB is coming. I just don’t think that Legacy would “announce” two horse in the same night, within like 3 hours.

He didn’t. GB was solved last week.

I mean, nothing is “annnounced”. Don’t assume that anything is “locked in” until it’s announced. Legacy has literally said himself that he dosen’t have as much confirming info as before.

This is true. Don’t get me wrong Legacy is great and all but until HHN announces it’s not 100% locked in. My point was Legacy basically announced two houses in the same night and that’s just odd IMO. Since Legacy announced them doesn’t mean they will come 100% but it does mean it’s more likely to come.

He didn’t announce anything. We just finally figured it out.

Sorry to post so much but I just felt like I had to say this:grin:. Anyway, yes it did get brought up last week but Legacy didn’t say it was right until yesterday, he actually said it was wrong as an April Fools joke.

Legacy has always said it’s just things he has heard. We all know it’s not a 100% thing.

So I’ve watched the Clerks episode, it mentions two main things: The Matrix and the fair/carnival.

My guesses:
Freaks
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Carnival of Souls
The Funhouse
Basket Case
Hellraiser (I think this is a lost cause but eh)

Once again, maybe a bit too obvious, but the episode is pretty centered around those two elements.

Pumpkinhead is an insanely good pick for those of us who love 80's cult slashers/creature features. I can see it translating very well into a fun and potentially pretty scary maze.

For those not familiar with the property, PH is a revenge demon that is 9 feet tall. There's lots of fun there as far as puppetry or design is concerned. The creature's design is one of my favorites from the era, he's like a really twisted take on a Xenomorph from the Alien franchise. (All credit to Stan Winston, one of the all time greats as far as creature design is concerned; PH was also his directorial debut)

As far as the question "is this property relevant?" Not really, but honestly it doesn't have to be. 95% of people attending the event will have no idea it's even based on a movie and just assume it's an original property. But if done right it could be a real crowd pleaser imo.

I genuinely wonder if the Stan Winston aspect of Pumpkinhead is why Aliens got speculated earlier this year.

Several "off the wall" properties (even though it's well-known, Ghostbusters counts IMO) should bring some novelty to the event.

I like the idea of off the wall properties. Halloween is absolutely my favourite horror movie of all time, but I saw Michael back in 2014 and don't need to see it again, so bring on the weirder side of horror I say.

Plus, I think the likely loss of Fox and WB properties has meant Universal had to dig deep this year for ideas.

Yeah but 2016's Hell Comes to Haddonfield was amazing. And I quite loved Halloween 4 last year so Michael hasn't quite failed me yet personally.

That's fair, I only used Halloween as an example because it's been a few times recently. I only did the 2014 house.

Yep. Like I've stated before, I'm having to go a little "old school" this year in how I get my information. A tidbit from one source. A little more from another. Hopefully some random intel that doesn't sound like information but is (like celebrity sightings on property). Get enough of that sort of stuff from the right people and put it on the chart.

Granted, that puts the echo chamber into effect again when sources start talking to each other, but it's the nature of the game.

If Ghostbusters is happening this year, I think they should've saved it for next year unless they can change it up to bring it back. Next year is the 30th anniversary of USF and HHN. I think it would be awesome if they celebrated both by having houses based on their original line-up of attractions back at the park opening and have a 90's-themed event. Imagine if they had houses based on Ghostbusters, Kong (On Skull Island), Jaws, and Alfred Hitchcock.

Gotta admit, even though I'm mainly hoping to sequels to certain past originals (In-Between, Bloodengutz, Nightingales) that would be pretty cool.

That seems off since HHN started a year after USF opened.

If GB is coming this year, lets hope it becomes a huge successful maze, so that they could bring back GB and do it based on the sequal, or do their own version featuring the ghosts they used back in the attraction.

Fright Nights = HHN 1
HHN = HHN 2
HHN 3 = HHN 3

It’s not counted by how many years since it started, it’s how many times the event has occurred.

I hope they do Ghostbusters 1 as a house and Ghostbusters 2 in the streets. Next year, we get the Ghostbusters reboot. 2021 we get Ghostbusters 3: Now With Kids.
