FWIW - this has been the line-up for a while. Nothing dropped out last minute. There never was Demon Slayer. There never was Blumhouse Vol 4.

and yes, it was always Exorcist: Believer.

But the rumor that Stranger Things was definitely never coming was at least right, no? /s

Anyhow, lineup is absolute fire. Literally the only thing that could round this out to make it even more perfect is a circus esque arch entrance this year ala HHN17.

I know you mentioned we didn't loose any IP's this year but was there any other possibilities that were rumored, such as EDR, or a different musical artist that just never panned out.

I don't think so. I think that was fake noise pushed by people trying to get into the rumor game. How does one gain attention? Separate yourselves from the rest, and sometimes that may include pushing rumors that were fake (knowingly or not).

They did a great job trying to hide that one. I think that's where the Metallica noise came from (and yes, HNN was alluding to that on their first Spec Map).

Outside of the initial "who can we get phase?" - no. Unfortunately, I cannot say more than that but as I said - this has been the line-up for a loooong time.

A little behind the scenes but it was a bit frustrating as a mod seeing some of the chatter about announcements because I know (outside of Chucky) it started later than usual - but you got EVERYTHING earlier than ever before. I think y'all would take that deal. Obviously, we couldn't come out and say it, but that's why we were trying to quell some of that chatter.

That one was also people mixing up permits that weren't for HHN. A whole stew of confusion causing that one.

So when Dracula Untold was coming to HHN 24, Mike Aiello explained there were some problems with trying to adapt an unreleased movie as a house while also trying not to spoil it. So they picked scenes that would follow the movie as best as possible and convey the general gist all without spoiling away key plot points. Obviously, there's going to be spoilage but I would expect the same approach taken here.

FUN FACT: The Untold house featured a scene that was cut from the movie - which also presents another issue. Some scenes that are adapted may not make it to the final cut. By the time the house was built and the scene was axed, it was too late to adjust - so they left it in. Aiello joked that the house was "the extended cut" of the film.

Wouldn't go THAT far. Their Spec Map 5.0 is when they came around but they were pushing Demon Slayer, a Metal IP (I'm assuming Metallica), and Five Nights early on.

So something I thought of was HHN 30 was Mike Aiello last year and ever since(just 31 & 32) we got icons. 31 had PL which was kinda an icon as well as lil boo. For 32 we have Dr. Oddfellow. So it almost seems that the head now(Charles Gray, correct me if I’m wrong) cares more for the icons and fans. (Don’t get me wrong I love Mikes work)

We also got bigger scarezone props. I understand the parade being gone really helps with that as it prevented any big props but still funny. What are you thoughts on this?
