When I read "This is the End" I immediately thought it could be some sort of tribute house, as this is the end of Murdy's run with HHN. Am I the only one who thought that? The Seth Rogan comedy was not what I figured.

Also I'm going to bet that the new entertainment venue is the Rocky Horror show from Orlando in the Castle Theater. It's safe, cheap and will at least eat people up. There's no way they actually do something "new" after the disasters from the last two years.

It will be something completely new. I immediately thought Rocky Horror as well but that speculation was shot down. As of right now, I have no idea what it might be, but it will be something new. I'm hearing it may not even be horror related, but more about putting on something "that wows"...  :(

Honestly... considering the issues HHNH has had in regards to entertainment... after B&T in 2013, then Purge Auctioneer last year....  I just really can't see them bringing back RHPS Tribute since it didn't return after it was here the one year. I mean, lets be realistic here... if people get offended from stuff in B&T and the Purge SZ, they're going to throw a tantrum over the things said during RHPS

Now as for the rest of the event, oh boy... I got a little bit more info and its not pretty. Hopefully something got translated wrong with the info my source provided. Even after seeing the list, I'm really having a hard time processing it along with the logic being used for this year.

Mazes & Locations:

Parisian Courtyard - Halloween

JPRA queue - Insidious: Chapter 3

Mummy Queue - This Is The End

SS747 - AVP

SS747 Lot - Crimson Peak (I believe this was TWD location for 2013/2014)

SS28 Lot - TWD

There apparently is NO 7th MAZE this year! The location where FDTD was last year will apparently be used for "Tram Drop-Off". There will not be the "Route 666" SZ/pathway to the Metro sets this year, instead there will apparently be a tram again. Hopefully this is not accurate because it would suck to go back to 6 Mazes after having 7 last year... and I'm sorry, but a show does not make up for the loss of HOH.

I should have a SZ list sometime next week... hopefully. Not holding my breath on that one though lol

Aside from Murdy constantly saying the Event won't go down in roster count, there wouldn't need to be considering the space they have. There are the vacant CSI soundstages next to the Lower-Lot or if they wanted to... place another maze in the Stage 28 plot. (It's pretty big chunk of land)

^^ That's exactly what I've been told with the only exception being Halloween and Crimson Peak being vice versa as for their locations. Interesting. Wonder if yours were accurate or the ones I were given were. I do NOT want to see Halloween in the Upper Lot.

Is Michael Myers/Halloween going to be this year's main icon?

Halloweens been the rumor for a long time to return to Horror Nights but Michael wouldn't be the Icon if he does come back. If anything, it'll be just like the past few years, no true Icon.

I've seen Florida's lineup too... doesn't look that impressive over ours. At least they're getting an Anniversary house.

From what I know this is Florida's Lineup:

- Freddy vs Jason

- American Werewolf in London

- Anniversary House

- Run 3

- Scream (based off the TV series)

- The Walking Dead

- Insidious

- Alice in Wonderland 3D

- Phychoscareepy: The Body Collectives

They have four original houses and five IPs while Hollywoods  (And i'm not trusting the lineup you heard, Sorry Gavin and Wesker), contains mostly IPs. Look, i'll spark a fire about this, Besides TWD and Insidious; we can't believe in much of whats coming to Horror Nights, until it gets announced.

Totally understandable, but this is what I heard would be coming to the parks. They could be completely wrong, somewhat right, or even completely right. We'll just have to wait and see.

Scream is not based on the TV series. Original film only.

Out of curiosity, what "trouble" are you referring Murdy may be in? With execs? Or potential public reaction? With the exception of Halloween, the potential lineup looks like a stinker.

What baffles me is how they're apparently wanting to cut the seventh maze to fund a show. That makes zero sense because isn't the whole point of a show to increase capacity!? Why not have both!?

The event WILL be popular. Therefore you gotta meet the demand, not decrease it. Im just baffled how they refuse to resolve the capacity issue.

I think they willingly don't want to increase capacity because it is all a greedy ploy to oversell overpriced FoL passes. It also looks like they want to bluff how popular they are by saying, "hheeeyyy look we're sold out every night!" Well, HHN is popular so maximize your profit by increasing capacity. When you increase capacity, people are happier as the lines will be more reasonable. When people are happier, they'll spend more.

Could you imagine if USH closed all of their shows to save on costs and just had the rides open because "that's all people care about"? People would all be overwhelming the lines and people would be upset. Why can't they figure out the same for Horror Nights?

We need a new creative director. Someone who is willing to get properties PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT. I mean, what the crap Murdy!? Assuming this supposed leak is true, you could've gone after Hellraiser or Trick r Treat..or freakin' AHS. You know how many fans are BEGGING for those to come? AHS EASILY has enough material for a mega maze. You respond with, "gonna wait for another movie". Yet you choose a forgotten Seth Rogan comedy everyone has little to do with horror. I sense a double standard for the sake of meeting James Franco and Jonah Hill. Also, why not have a good mix of desired properties and solid original content like Orlando does? Is that so hard to do!? Does EVERYTHING have to have big celebrities slapped on there!? We need new blood. We need someone who will think outside the box and not just want to hang around celebs for a stupid excuse for creative mediocrity.

Also, let's boot out Kurtzual while we're at it. Sick of him canceling stuff for the sake of bowing to an overly sensitive bunch of crybabies.

That's enough for my mega rant. Its just such a shame to see a once fierce event watered down to such creative and repetitive mediocrity. Do something NEW. Take RISKS. Get us at the juggular! Don't pay attention to the whiny panzies that hate fun. Just BE HORROR NIGHTS.

With that said, I'm seriously considering flying to Florida. At least the line-up over there looks pretty descent.

As I said before.. when it comes to HHN, nothing is ever official until the event actually begins (and even then its not always the case)...  Considering that both lists pretty much match up more or less... As much as the line-up doesn't thrill me, I'd say believe it for now, especially since the event is 69 days away.

And yea, from the list I was shown, it had Crimson Peak on the Metro sets. That & Halloween could've been swapped around originally but maybe changed recently for whatever reason. We'll obviously be able to know for sure once façade construction begins for Parisian (unless the maze for that location is announced first)..

The reason why I believe the 6 mazes vs 7 is due to last year's BS excuse for not having a show. If you remember, the reason being spewed from Murdy/UNI was because they decided to do a 7th maze instead. So going by Universal's flawed logic, they give us a new show, they remove a maze. I don't agree with it, nor do I like it, but it is something they'd do.

I'd say just keep an eye out while on the Studio Tour over the next week or two when you're passing through the Metro Sets/heading up to the picture cars. I'd love for my source to be wrong, but he hasn't been so far (except for those Potter spires :P ). Hopefully we will see 2 metro tents go up. :)

haha... Freak, you pretty much channeled my rage towards HHN for the most part lol... I would love to go back to Orlando for a weekend this year... mostly B&T reasons of course. But yea.. I can relate to the frustration for HHN here (as well as on the east coast).

They should have the event every day of the week to spread the crowds out over more days.

Also: who's to say the show will grab the crowds? It won't be B&T, so we have no idea at this time.

Aiello in FL seems to be so entrenched in the entertainment of it all while Murdy is obsessed with pure content... to the point of not caring about shows. Aiello comes from B&T, you can feel the fun in his HHN. USH HHN feels rather calculated and cold in comparison.

Happy to be doing Orlando this year.
