What baffles me is how they're apparently wanting to cut the seventh maze to fund a show. That makes zero sense because isn't the whole point of a show to increase capacity!? Why not have both!?
The event WILL be popular. Therefore you gotta meet the demand, not decrease it. Im just baffled how they refuse to resolve the capacity issue.
I think they willingly don't want to increase capacity because it is all a greedy ploy to oversell overpriced FoL passes. It also looks like they want to bluff how popular they are by saying, "hheeeyyy look we're sold out every night!" Well, HHN is popular so maximize your profit by increasing capacity. When you increase capacity, people are happier as the lines will be more reasonable. When people are happier, they'll spend more.
Could you imagine if USH closed all of their shows to save on costs and just had the rides open because "that's all people care about"? People would all be overwhelming the lines and people would be upset. Why can't they figure out the same for Horror Nights?
We need a new creative director. Someone who is willing to get properties PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT. I mean, what the crap Murdy!? Assuming this supposed leak is true, you could've gone after Hellraiser or Trick r Treat..or freakin' AHS. You know how many fans are BEGGING for those to come? AHS EASILY has enough material for a mega maze. You respond with, "gonna wait for another movie". Yet you choose a forgotten Seth Rogan comedy everyone has little to do with horror. I sense a double standard for the sake of meeting James Franco and Jonah Hill. Also, why not have a good mix of desired properties and solid original content like Orlando does? Is that so hard to do!? Does EVERYTHING have to have big celebrities slapped on there!? We need new blood. We need someone who will think outside the box and not just want to hang around celebs for a stupid excuse for creative mediocrity.
Also, let's boot out Kurtzual while we're at it. Sick of him canceling stuff for the sake of bowing to an overly sensitive bunch of crybabies.
That's enough for my mega rant. Its just such a shame to see a once fierce event watered down to such creative and repetitive mediocrity. Do something NEW. Take RISKS. Get us at the juggular! Don't pay attention to the whiny panzies that hate fun. Just BE HORROR NIGHTS.
With that said, I'm seriously considering flying to Florida. At least the line-up over there looks pretty descent.
