At the same time, there has always been other types of shows too.... including dance shows, magic shows, gore type shows, etc...

While you may not have enjoyed their Vegas show "PRISM", you might enjoy their new show for HHN. As I've said before, B&T is like my thing.. I freakin wear the BILL attire as normal clothes rather than a costume (which reminds me, I still need to go to San Dimas & get a pic with the sign .......geez I'm such a nerd). I love the show, always have & would see it 30+ times during HHN in Orlando. So I get the disappointment of not having it return, but you can thank the overly sensitive for that. And from what I've seen for "original" shows created over the years for USH, I'd be afraid to see what atrocity they'd create. If they were smart, they'd bring back Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue with a revamped show (say what you will about Orlando's current version, I don't love.. it caused me to drink so much opening day I blacked out.. BUT it grew on me because the cast is so good). Singapore's former version "Monster Rock" (which is clearly where Orlando's current show was a knock off of) was amazing (although it'd probably offend the gays due to Phantom... heh..). My point is, I have faith in the new "Boogie MonSTARZ" show.

Remember.... it can always be worse... *waves hi to former Creature show*

See I would much rather see something like Creature the musical than 5 guys wearing masks "dancing".

It's not a bad thing you're willing to give them a shot, but some people simply aren't. I know without seeing it, it's not for me.

You lost me at Boogie MonSTARZ (just threw up in my mouth)

The only reason why I say the new show "should" be fun, enjoyable, entertaining.... is because it will only be 25-30mins long. And I'm sure they'll want to take advantage of Universal's different arsenal of theater effects that have been used in the past for B&T (fog blasts, sparks, fire), then of course there is the big projection screen/scrim. I'm just basically being optimistic...

Their current show PRISM in Vegas looks boring as hell, but that's only because its 2 hours long. That is a ridiculously long show for something like that. From what I've seen from the videos, it is not executed very well... I feel like because it will be normal theme park show running time, it will be a lot better. Plus, I'm sure Universal will have "SOME" say as well. Lets just hope for the best! :)

Shouldn't that be a reason not to do that though? Why have the same type of show as every other haunt event.

Not in my opinion. I like a “tradition”. I love “The Hanging” because of tradition. I go back to B&T as a stunt show in the Wild West arena and even the one year it was at WW. A pop culture/parody show is a huge tradition for me at Halloween events. If USH had several shows a hip-hop dance show might be just the thing. But with only one show I will miss B&T. I will give the new one a try but I will still continue to be one who complains the B&T should come back.

I'll speak about the Bill and Ted argument..for right now, yes; Bill and Ted is not coming back to Horror Nights on this coast "Under" Johns reign. When a new Creative Director comes in, I bet that you will be seeing the likelihood of Bill & Ted returning likely rise but it won't happen automatically.

So ScareLA Is coming up this weekend and what is the one thing you hope to see during the panel? No matter what, its probably going to be Halloween but do you hope Jamie Lee Curtis comes (as to be frank, I doubt John Carpenters coming) or do you want more news on the future of HHN after this year?

Murdy tweeted more about the SZs...

- new original SZ concept that requires "some really old music"

- new entrance SZ will be "original", feature a vehicle prop & voiceover work. The voice you'll hear isn't exactly human. The vehicle belongs to a company, a new start up business that hates humans.

- There will be a SZ on the Metro Sets again (even though we knew this already)

^ Got word all scare zones are apparently new and original as well. The Lower Lot Jurassic World scare zone was apparently nixed, and just a rumor being thrown around.

Ah okay, so as originally suspected... all original SZs, while all mazes are IPs... that seems like a nice balance.

Any word on themes?...

As far as I saw, I noticed for online for general admission (which is cheaper due to online), 55-80. FOTL is apparently 159 also for most of the days. and I forgot the Day/night combo prices but I think somewhere between 90-160. If I was going to guess, I think it was 120 or something similar..

So basically prices are around the same. I usually just go in Sept. and when the event comes closer to an end as thats when my AP discounts are the cheapest, lol.

I think that's fair considering that, considering that the seventh house has been replaced by a show, the price shouldn't increase. I think they also figured people would be outraged if the prices went up for fewer mazes and more repeated content.

If they're selling it this year, I'm getting the four-night pass. If they're just going to sell the full-on pass, I don't think it's worth it this year. Unless it's far better than expected, I don't see myself going more than EP night and/or opening weekend this year. I think the Haunt season pass at Knott's is a FAR better value IMO.

But nearly $200 for FotL? My word, that's robbery.

Murdy filmed another announcement video this morning... he said "hopefully we'll see it next week"... I can't see a reason for him to film a video for AVP... Since he didn't specify if it was a maze announcement or not, it might be the Terror Tram... Maybe even This is the End will get be announced..

Part of me wishes they would've been announcing the SZs during the non-maze announcement weeks. We only have 2 mazes left after tomorrow, plus the Terror Tram... waiting for the full site reveal is lame (especially when it doesn't happen until roughly 4 weeks before the event starts, which is really bad marketing & shitty for people who need to plan/book their trips in advance. Yay blind spending of money) ....err, sorry, I've always had an issue with event reveals happening only a month in advance lol

I'd love for USH to make a scary/funny parody maze of Disneyland and it's characters, called Tragic Kingdom.

Lots of possibilities. Imagine a It's a Small World scene with little people dressed as creepy dolls, zombie Pirates scene, princess whorehouse scene, and a scene with rotting human sized animals that resemble Mickey and the gang.
