I don't expect James Franco's house to be the facade since the size is equivalent to the Crimson Peak Manor (okay maybe a little less). It might be the grocery store where the rapturing takes place or just a plain black wall that has the "This is the End" logo on it, kind of like what Orlando did with Evil Dead's second facade. Also take note that some of the demons in the filming of This is the End didn't make it in the final film, but the makeup looks incredible! If you want me to describe what I imagine the maze to be like, I would, but I don't feel like it belongs in this thread.

^well that isn't exactly accurate at all in regards to Orlando's "Evil Dead" house... OFF TOPIC DETOUR!

The first thing you encountered was a giant built-in screen that is part of that particular soundstage. They projected a red background with black tree branches (or maybe red lighting & blood rain) onto it when you entered the SS (I honestly don't remember what exactly was on the screen, even after multiple trips through I didn't fully pay attention since it was usually one of the first houses I'd hit before the first B&T show, so I was pressed for time).

Then you have the actual façade, which was the Necronomicon (Naturom Demonto) & its pages.

There was a giant "EVIL DEAD" sign above the doorway of the first scene in the house, but it was very easy to miss if you didn't look up after passing under the book pages due to how close the black curtains were.

Are we just assuming AVP and This is the End are coming this year? When were those confirmed?

They're coming. They were both on the line-ups that Galindoverhere & myself received. Considering the mazes & their locations have matched up with the previous announcements so far, there is no reason to believe AVP/TITE aren't happening. TITE would be the only one that would be replaced last minute, but as of right now, it is still happening (which kinda scares me).

Not too mention props, costumes, scareactor related sets have been seen for AVP...

plus we also have The Purge for Terror Tram...

There was a giant "EVIL DEAD" sign above the doorway of the first scene in the house, but it was very easy to miss if you didn't look up after passing under the book pages due to how close the black curtains were.

That's what I meant when I said the second facade of Orlando's Evil Dead maze . This is going to go off topic too, but I have a feeling that Orlando's going to do this with Insidious as well.And I think I'm the only one here that can imagine what the TitE maze would look like and is excited for it (maybe it's the fact that I'm the youngest here). I'm pretty sure they're going to add the drug scene and it's going to be blacklit and have colored flames painted on the wall (almost like in House of 1000 Corpses back in 2010-2011) and Danny McBride with mouths for eyes pops out and laughs in at the guest's faces (and maybe flip off the guests). I'm pretty sure they would play Figure music though instead of Gangnam Style. And maybe demons that look similar to the In-Between and Afterlife demons from Orlando would pop out as well.

If we don't get "Backstreet's Back" playing in the finale, I will be highly disappointed! I mean really, if we have to have this, then we might as well take it all the way... (maybe that was poor wording with the demon penises haha)..

Got some info on "This is the End": 

- The facade is more or less confirmed to be Franco's house.

- Jonah Hill was pretty heavily involved in the maze apparently

- The maze will essentially follow the movie, with the final room being sort of gag-gy and may incorporate the heaven climatic scene. 

- Much of the maze is set in outdoor scenarios even though it's an indoor maze. Bride's cannibal squad is also a major player in the maze. 

- The giant dick demons won't be as giant, as expected considering what they were used to work with. 

That's all i've been able to fetch up from my source, and still no damn scare zone list!

This could be clever or dumb either way you look at it, but imagine they integrated scenes from the "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" music video for the grand finale. And I wouldn't be surprised if Jabbawockeez dances to that song in their show.

Apparently the stuff from Crimson Peak looks really cool. Imagine the "pale man" from Pan's Labyrinth only red. The creatures also look cool, some have portions of their head missing (yay for Boneyard F/X). From what I gathered, your excitement should be high for this maze.

In regards to "This is the End's" façade being James Franco's house, it can be done easily. You don't need anything big/fancy to pull that off, especially due to the limited space.... you mainly just the front door section. You remember the big southern mansion in TCM? Well, at HHN Orlando in 2007 we had that house in the Disaster (Earthquake) queue which has a roof for those not familiar with the location. While we've seen much larger, grander more elaborate facades over the past few years... this is what they did for TCM

So having Franco's house as the façade is very believable.

I don't know, some people might find the thought of Backstreet Boys scary.... it just makes me feel old because I remember when that song came out & loving the music video because it was Classic Monster themed. h34r:  

Seriously though, I have a feeling this maze will be what gets complaints from the overly sensitive this year. Go one night... yay demon dicks, goes the following weekend.. no penis related anything to be found.. "Welcome to James Franco's Post-Apocalyptic End of the World Party! Dance the night away with hell's demons and enjoy mind altering drugs while listening to Gangnum Style! End the night with a Backstreet Boys concert in heaven!"

I wonder if they will use the "car crash" gag twice in that maze: One of a taxi and another of the cannibal truck. And I also really hope that the pepper's ghost effect in Halloween: Michael Myers Comes Home will be noticable (because the last time it was used in La Llorona 2012 in the catacombs room, I don't think anybody noticed it), but I highly doubt it will be unnoticed.

^yea, they couldn't do that in 2007. Where they put the facades now, they had a school bus, wooden fence, and hanging sheets for the last part of the house. So that's why we only had the porch. Usually they'll do full facades like that though.

both of those car gags failed epically last year in Clowns 3D (too bright, so no surprise factor) & AWIL (just kinda stupid)....

Couldn't really get any major details out of my source about TITE, however he did say that the Michael Cera streetlight impaling would supposedly be out front & be an animatronic or dummy. If you remember, we expected that to be a scareactor role instead, as well as be inside the actual maze.

He also said there were quite a few interior scenes. I think he might've misunderstood me when I said mostly "outdoor scenes", so I will try to get that clarified later.
