What I want (said this before) is a launched flying coaster/ dark ride combo set inside the aviary. I watched JW again last night, aviary scene is so perfect, start slowly with a dark ride portion, then have the helicopter crashing leading to a launch, takes you out of the dome, then dives back inside etc.

Interestingly enough, Jurassic World originally had a scene that would lend itself to this perfectly.

That last image straight up takes me back to my honeymoon when we went to Kualoa Ranch.

A B&M winged coaster could work as well instead of a flyer, and offer something different to Seaworld down the road. Whether there's the space for it is another matter.

I've seen some things about Mummy being demolished at USH and creating more room for a Jurassic World Retheme......any chance if it does get rethemed that it is a test run for a new Jurassic World expansion/Ride?

Not true.

Also while the ad looks great, the coaster has made that land look horrible now.

My issue with TFD is that its own placement is the biggest issue out of anything. Atleast with Hollywood Dream, it 'Tries' and I mean that loosely, to blend in with Hollywood. This; looks like a sore thumb.

I don't discount that the layout looks great, but the placement makes it look so trashed, hell; i'll even say worse than how Silver Bullet at Knotts sticks out.

Damn good roller coaster. Terrible fit for Universal. It changes the tone of the whole park and that can be good or bad depending on who you ask.

Terrible. The Discovery Center now looks Six Flagish. No wonder Universal pushed out the previous head honcho.

I would get it if they tried to replicate the scene from JW, where all hell breaks lose on the main street; but they shouldn't of placed the one layout section infront of the Discovery Center..but,

they didn't. And to be honest, that kinda pissed me off when I looked at it more.

Oh god, it looks like The Hulk just took over Jurassic Park or something.

It wouldn't be so bad if it were in the back of everything, but there? Yikkkes

Me, before seeing that picture: I hope TFD comes to IOA, I'd love to have another JP attraction!
Me, after seeing that picture: Yiiiiikes! No thanks.

I'm not usually one to call coasters eyesores, but blocking the Discovery Center and JPRA show-building, and protruding so much on that area's atmosphere? Jesus Christ.

I haven't been to USJ so just trying to make sense of this. Is that not the front of the Discovery Center on the water like ours is? Maybe it looks less intrusive when you're standing in the land.

Wow, that's pretty intrusive. Is the boat ride a mirror image compared to the rest of them, looking at the building?

Right. At least DC is behind everything. This is in front. I remember some posts a good number of pages back suggesting a new IOA JP coaster that goes into the lagoon. Well, this is what that would look like.We sometimes need to be careful what we wish for.Truly ugly and theme destroying...... Such a shame. That was a great commercial. Too bad they didn't build an attraction that was more like the trailer.

So this is my thought on Kong and JP not able to expand. That land Uni is buying has been pretty known for awhile would come available. I am wondering if Uni had plans for awhile now to buy it and figured that JW in Orlando would be better in a 3rd park. With little expansion room in the current Jurassic area and knowing IOA needed SOMETHING added since really it has not had a ton of additions since it was created, they decided to move forward with Kong. That way they can see if JW was successful and if they get the land create a proper JW in the 3rd park.

I see that coaster completely different. I think it's a perfect addition. If Jurassic Park/ World was real, this coaster would have been built. Right where it is. If you follow the story line Jurassic Park/World it basically makes fun and imitates real theme parks. If they felt like they needed an attendance bump at the park, they would have added a roller coaster just like this. In that same spot. Think of Seaworld, it's supposed to be about the animals but the reality is people want roller coasters. Same thing with Primeval Whirl in Animal Kingdom. This to me is life imitating art, imitating life.

Here's some more photos showing how badly it ruins the land.
