You know, people around here are always talking about adding an attraction in the Trike area or expanding it into the Discovery Center area also & putting in a coaster. And the commentary often speaks of the small area available. While I was out today I drove past our local park, Kennywood. And then it struck me. About five years ago they put in a new coaster. The park has an extremely small footprint, so they never have much room to work with. Right in front of me was the Sky Rocket, It's a 52" ht. restriction, Lunch Coaster, 0 to 50 in under three seconds, 95' vertical jump with a 90 degree plummet and lots of inversions. I rode it the first years it was open and its fun & smooth as all heck. But low capacity like most coasters. Really good looking and fairly unobtrusive. And best of all it has such a small footprint that it probably doesn't take up much more than a acre of land, if that. Now that's something that they could easily fit into the remainder of the Trike area with lots of room to spare. And you wouldn't need to extend it to near the Discovery Center, and ruin the ambiance of the island. Theme it up a bit, and you'd have a nice addition to JP. And it being behind the lake and buildings, not occupying much of an area, it wouldn't be much of a sight line restriction.
