I am not clear as to why it is important that a Comcast exec spoke of it. HTF told us what it was a year ago.

Because it's the first official word from the company on the matter. We all knew what it was, but they've finally admitted it.

Plus, it's another example of a bizarre trend of understated attraction announcements from UOR

And people still tryin to convince us and themselves this can't be Kong

Or a slip of the tongue.

I think it was only a matter of short time before something was said, whether officially or unofficially, by someone in Universal. The stone work going up on the façade of the building (that is not completely impossible to see from guest pathways) leaves little doubt for what the attraction is at this point... you know, for those who still wanted to argue it being Kong.

Pictures from today. Lots going on with a lot of workers. Plus there were a dozen or more workers painting the rocks over at Jurassic Park River Adventure, which is down for refurb.

They've been adding a flat rocky backdrop to block the show building. This looks to be what will be seen behind Thunder Falls from Jurassic Park.

There's a new green construction wall down the walkway near Camp Jurassic. I think it's related to the JP area refurbs. There was a lot of scenery painting going on in the area.

More pictures posted on my blog as usual.
