I kinda liked them too, it was always cool to the the ice gator's house too. Hope this is a hint at the ice section of wondersea, so far this sounds like it'll be a very diverse park theme wise

Whoa, chilled water in sections...making a "Shrinkage" river? Seinfeld would approve!

Would be cool if instead of two rivers, they had more of a river-system, so one river that branches of into two, would also be interesting if they could have at least one of the branches merge inside the wavepool.

I definitely agree, as a lazy river lover my expectations are through the roof

I definitely agree but if you could get a name on it for a land or something that's just another reason to go. Like people are gonna go to blizzard beach no matter what but if they themed it to frozen I think people would have a bigger reason to go

Now that you mention this, I'm shocked Disney hasn't thrown Frozen into Blizzard Beach yet. They've thrown it pretty much everywhere else.

As has been mentioned, there's very little incentive. I doubt it would be worth the cost of investment. The fact of the matter is, people don't go to water parks for spongebob, despicable me or Frozen. They go because they want to have a good time and that's about it. Or on the flipside, people REALLY dislike waterparks. An IP isn't going to change that to enough people that investing into changing the theme of the park would be worth it.

Yeah, cause if a little girl is telling her daddy that she wants to go swim with elsa, he's going to say no. lol

You aren't getting it. Obviously they would pick up a few additional people. But when you put capital expenditure into something, you need to make sure you are going to be able to make back what you put in. I just sea Frozen in Blizzard Beach as a completely unnecessary move. Typhoon Lagoon and blizzard Beach are the top attended water parks anyway.

I thought Hate said a while back this waterpark would have different theme's, like a theme park, with at least despicable me in there.
That would be at least different. Also Universal could go for a hybrid approach. I've seen newer waterparks that have coaster like rides in them with water cannons going trough the park and things like the water lego ride with canons on it. That could be a whole new breed of theme/water park and would be something Universal could pull off big.

Sooo, say you won the Super Bowl this past year, would you just give away all your trades during the draft because last year you were #1?

WDW has won the Super Bowl every year for the past 40 years. Obviously that is proof that they never, ever need to add anything EVER again.

"Yea! We're #1!!!! Put it on autopilot, we're going to Denny's!"

I am one of those people who hates water parks, and that isn't really an accurate way to describe it. I can't swim, I never learned, so therefore, water parks are out of the question. I have been to Wet N Wild once, when a company I worked for had a picnic for us there, and wasn't impressed, and the same company had a picnic at the now-defunct Water Mania, which I liked better because it was shadier. If we built a water park on site, I would probably go there once just so I could let people know what it was like, and that would be it. However, I do understand their appeal to people who aren't as water phobic as I am.

To be fair to MK, it seems to be the only WDW park that's gotten real attention of late.

Mine was a sarcastic reply to the post above mine saying that since Blizzard Beach was a top attended Waterpark, it had no need to add Frozen.

If you are referring to me, that's not what I said (or meant), at all.

My point was, IPs ARE NOT needed at water parks. People are either going to go or they aren't. Simple as that. Fill the place up with great theming and come p with some original story for it and you're all set. IPs add very little appeal to water parks. Even if you like the IP, if you don't like water parks than what good is it to you?

IPs need like Frozen need to be put to use where they are accessible to all people. Not all people like water parks, not all people can SWIM. It's just a waste to use such a giant IP at a water park imo. It's a waste to use any IP really.

You are saying exactly what I said you said. Blizzard Beach has no need to add Frozen.

But to rebut your latest post, It doesn't hurt them one bit to add Frozen. It's not like They can only use it so many times. Just because someone likes water parks, it doesn't mean they are going to go to a water park. We go to our local theme park many times during the summer. They have a water park. Really, we spend more time at the water park than we do at the regular park cause thats what the 8 year old step daughter wants to do. Last time we went to Disney, we were there 5 days and never even considered going to a water park. We have water parks, we didn't want to waste any of our precious time doing something we do all summer. Even if they are better themed, there is not enough differentiation to make it worth going to. Now, if my SD found out that Anna and Elsa were at a Water park, she would have drug us to that park every day that she could. It would probably lead us to adding the water park option to our multi-day passes. It makes a ton more sense to add it to the Water parks than it does to overlay Maelstrom. The tourists are already going to have the multi-day passes that are going to get them into Epcot whether there is Frozen land or not. The majority are not going to have water park passes. Frozen at BB would absolutely cause upselling to Water park passes for the multi day tourists. It's not about whether its needed to make the park work, its about causing more people to go who normally wouldn't.
