I would think that of ALL the attractions Universal's built, Nintendo would call for screens. But... if not, more power to them.

And I disagree that Universal opts for screens for what they can't recreate, like A-List stars. Simpsons, Minions, and Transformers are all examples of attractions that could have utilized AAs but didn't. Not in their current incarnations (ultimately, the screens were because of space-saving and shoehorning) but their characters were all cartoonish enough to recreate easily should they have chosen different, more expensive paths.

If fate serves me wrong, Transformers would of had a full AA of Optimus Prime, but wasn't it cut in the process of time and money? Can be wrong, but I believe I've seen people say that TF would of had a AA for its attraction.

It didn't have an AA in Singapore where it opened first, then none in Hollywood the year after that, and none in Florida the year after that. They could have added it to any of the latter if that was their original intention. I call BS on the AA.

I dunno... that was a quick down and dirty copy. I think Orlando is wildly lucky to have the statue out front that they have. I also think the only reason that it is there is because it's Mark's backyard and showplace.

AA Transformers would've been incredible but a ride with those obviously wouldn't have been able to fit in the space the current one does. We could've seen a very different attraction replace Disaster!

I have cleaned this thread after multiple calls by mods to cut it out. If anyone wants to discuss rumors posted on WDWM, please go to WDWM. If the conversation continues it the way it has, this thread will be locked.

Discussion is great and we're all excited for this project but this thread has reached into posting for posting's sake.

If you have any questions or issues please DM @BriMan or myself.

I totally get you deleting the posts as it was basically devolving into a WDWM conversation in the Nintendo thread.

As for posting for posting's sake though... there's not much going on to talk about

I have no problem letting this thread die off for a bit haha... i'd rather focus on stuff that's under construction and we have firm info on anyway.

Huh, should be interesting how they do this? Is this to be a shooter type ride? If so it sounds like it will truly put TSMM to shame and then some.

Also, if it is a shooter attraction, that would seem to open the door to replace MIB down the road, no?

Speaking of a shooter, I think a Duck Hunt shooting game in the vein of the Frontierland Shooting Arcade would be a cool addition.

It's a big bright beautiful tomorrow. I think this land is going to be a fantasmic addition to Universal. I'm not a present video game enthusiast, a little past my prime for that, but, with Universal/Comcast's recent track record, I'm sure this land will even entertain someone like me that doesn't have an attachment to the characters. Quality always wins out. And, I'm excited to see what Universal will put out there that may be unique.
