Looks just how I imagined a jungle would look like! Way to go, Disney.

But seriously though, this is nice to have. Not as grand and extravagant looking as the concept art, but at least we're getting a better look at everything. I'm hoping to get some more thorough pictures of the model this weekend.

Can't wait to see this thing at One Man's Dre...oh...

Well at least it will be shaded. Lol. That's a lot of trees.

It's clear the land will look VASTLY superior at night than during the day.

It actually looks a lot like West Virginia in June.

I'm just 35 minutes from the border. I love my property & the view of the hills & woodlands, it's absolutely beautiful and we sit on my back balcony to watch the sunsets nearly every evening, but I expect more of an exotic/imagination look from a close to billion dollar theme park land. I was one of the few that was really looking forward to this expansion, but I'm frankly underwhelmed by it's look. Heck, I could have designed that by taking some back acreage pictures . Hope the rides turn out better. What ever happened to imagination?

Yes, loved the movie, but it looked like an alien wooded landscape. I could see a neighbor kid walking into this land and exclaiming to his parents, "Mom, this looks like the woods behind our house". I'm looking for amazement not familiarity. Heh, it looks good but it doesn't look "Special'.

I agree, but I also think you can't judge the land based on a model.

Just like with Diagon, Carsland, etc, I'll judge it once I'm actually inside of the land and riding the rides.

Out of context, that looks like a hump of moss in a northern spruce and fir forest. In context, it looks like an ambiguous forest in China. Nice try with the blue planet background.

I have no doubt that Disney guests will find it enjoyable to some degree.

Yeah... that first model had the hallmarks of Pandora. This model, while more detailed, just looks like a lump of forest.

Maybe I need to see the movie again. Not saying it doesn't look great, just that there's nothing particularly recognizable as Avatar to me there.

The model isn't doing this any justice... I'm hoping it's just a bad angle for a photo to be taken.

If the land is going to work or not, isn't going to be based on how it looks from overhead. It's going to be based on how it looks from the ground.

I think the reaction comes from the fact that many of us have seen the original AK models which were inspiring and very clear in intent.

So I was looking at a scale model of Pandora which I guess they will be using in the Expo... Nothing new expect for a Military Hangar area and better yet, 2 entrances. I can see the bridge from Discovery Island, but there's also a pathway next to Military base, which tells me it is most likely a path to Africa's New LK theater area. I think this is great idea to complete that outter ring to connect all lands without having to use Dicovery Is. I know the parade access is in the middle, but I believe it is a bridge you can easily walk under.... I could be wrong.

So the story for Avatar is that the RDA (That bad corporation from the film) has left Pandora and now the Na'vi are welcoming in a tourism company to show-off Pandora.
