Rode it 4 or so times today in different rows and felt water each time. It's very light though so I could be easy to miss I guess.

Hmmm... never knew that was an effect and have ridden Mummy many many times. If it is an intended effect, then it doesn't work to make me think beetles, it makes me think that it is the A/C dripping.

It has to be intended as scarab beetle room when you start moving backwards but it's a poor effect.

It used to be an amazing effect. But then they started messing with the projectors and it came out worse than ever. Now the entire room feels off because of brightness.

The entire ride was so much better when it first came out, now there are so many effects that Universal has just written off. EG Imhotep's fog effects for soul suck and half the light up panels don't even work anymore. The turntable projectors are still god-awful too. Hope it gets the refresher it REALLY needs.

I hope they keep the original themeing because i love the first two movies they are classics for me..but i wouldnt mind another thrill here or there.

WOW it really is crazy exciting how much they are doing at Universal Orlando. I mean every time you hear something new coming or being updated you hear something else. Its continuous and i admire Universal for that.

Refurb hmm... Imhotep? He's been kinda rusty lately.
If they wanted to keep the whole ride and just retheme it for the reboot then they'd have to make new queue videos and rename the mummy, because in the reboot I heard it's not British archeologists this time around, it's Americans. And there is not going to be any Brenden Fraisure and the story is supposed to be different. But then again, things change. I got all of this info from IGN.com and the guy who is either helping the film or writing it said this, I can't remember.

Um, I'm hoping there is a fix for the turntable scene. The past 3 times I've ridden Mummy, the turntable scene has been so bright. You can see everything. The catwalks, the screens, and just all of the mechanics of the room. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has experienced this.

Not just you! I've been seeing that for a while now, and I've mentioned it before as well. And not only is it too bright in that scene, but it looks like the screen fabric is not properly stretched out or something, because it looks "loose" on the edges and makes it look even more fake. These things really takes you away from the experience.

Their will be a fix, it just hasn't been decided which way to go with it.

Hope they do something. Mummy is such a great ride, with just a few kinks like this that can be fixed :thumbs:

Yeah I was there on September 1st, 2012 and I saw the same thing. It was REALLY bright!

It's just a shame because it takes away from the whole effect when you can actually see the screen the image is projected on.
