Well the idea was meant first for Universal Hollywood and then also placed in Orlando after.

Universal may have taken the most general of cues from the concept, but the original JP jeep ride idea was FAR different from what we're getting with Kong...

I'd still love to see this version come to life at some point, but the lack of space makes that basically impossible, unless they slap "Jurassic World" on it and put it in a 3rd gate.

I'd love to see Jurassic World in the third park. I mean, if Harry Potter can have two lands and possibly three...

It's one of the benefits of having multiple locations, that you can share development costs across several parks. Development of the ride was under way before the film.

No, the River Adventure was intended for USF first where MiB now sits. It was shelved when they decided on the JP island theme for Islands of Adventure. The USH version went ahead as planned.

I've heard this before, so I could believe it, but I haven't look into it. Sounds right.

I think the Goddard Group even has concept art of the USF JPRA.

This is the only thing JP related on their site that I could find. It's tied to USH's version, but some of the concept art may have been meant for USF. Click on the T-Rex image after it loads.

I heard they are starting to do make up tests and rehearsals for the native actors. Is that true?

There's no way to tell, considering any sort of on-site rehearsals would happen in the queue where they will be scaring people.

I could imagine rehearsals for that role wouldn't take more than a day. Scaring people out of a boohole isn't exactly 'high art'.

They have started, and there is more than one day. it's a whole week. Standard HHN has at least 3 rehearsals. Not even including the first night of filling out paperwork. The process is actually pretty annoying. Usually for rehearsals, you try a costume on the first night, you get instruction from show directors, formulate your characters. Second night you actually get to walk through what your area will be and such. Third night is when the executives review your project or area. This is going off of HHN. Kong could take wayyy longer than that. It's also not as easy as it looks to scare someone all night. It's more than just "popping out of a boohole."

The hardest part of HHN for me was maintaining my physical well-being. I was aching every night for the first two weekends. In training I was given the props and triggers I needed to properly scare/startle the majority of the people who walked past my boohole, but from those 3 days I can honestly say there was only about 10-15 minutes worth of discussion about what I'd actually do when popping out.

I'm not trying to discredit any of the performers involved with Skull Island or HHN, but compared to putting on a show or production there is definitely a lot less work involved.

I'm giving tons of credit to the skull island performers. The make up used is gonna be hot and wearing it while scaring people all day every day is going to be tiring to say the least. I'm sure they're going to do an awesome job though, they'll get me I can already tell
