lol one of the perks to me on Skull Island is the dino part bc even if it isn't in the Jurassic Park universe, it fits the scenery surrounding it. Did it really need a whole new land?

JP & ROK lands blend together so well that it really doesn't matter much. Half a dozen of one, half a dozen of the other. It's a toss up to me.

They still need to put the entrance arch back up though. They could have a more generic one to allow for both islands.

I'm not sure if it's coming back. I'd assume they would've put it back a while ago when construction was complete.

That would be nice...IOA is kind of locked down because you can't shoe-horn a ride into a highly detailed themed lands that are world specific...Unfortunately you have to either rip out and retheme an entire Island or use transition space between two..Kong did just that, it's in a transition space kind of

Definitely. Probably one of the most beautiful and effective usages of such a small plot possible. The facade is certainly iconic.

Finally got my first ride in today right at opening. Single Rider was closed off when I got off (apparently full) and continued to be shut off every time I walked by. The ride went down around 11, no clue when it came back, but it was funny to see all the engineers running back and forth around on the outside track. Canopy projections didn't seem to be working, and we stopped right when we got to Kong for a couple of seconds, so the timing was off and at the end we saw Kong go into his rest mode, but otherwise a good first ride.

Motion base in bug pit room wasn't working last night. Also felt tamer in the 360 room than the first time I rode but I do think it was working? Did catch the projection overhead but only when Kate flies over when she's being carried by the bat.

I'm with you. They atleast could have gone the Singapore way and name JP/Kong to "The Lost World".

Took the words right out of my mouth. That plot was big enough to work in 1 or more attractions and just name the whole area skull island. I have always wondered why they would give 1 attraction it's own respective area shoved in between to islands.

Has there ever been any confirmed reports that the transitional projections between the 360 portion and the animatronic show scene have been added? I know people spoke about it along with the projections on the roof of the vehicle but I haven't seen any videos that actually show this. Does the screen still turn to black after the 360 show scene or has that officially been fixed for the grand opening?
