Assumptions made from that. Wow 20 years after Spiderman, Disney opens a similar ride. Both rides mentioned seemed to be heavily screen based.

The concept art was beautiful. If that name sticks "Star Wars Experience"... yikes... especially in Disneyland.

It looks good overall though.

I think this is going to be very similar to the Ratatouille ride at Disney Studios Paris.

I "Star Wars Experience" is meant to describe not name the new land.

I have to agree. It seems like a solid land.

I'm still really excited, but I had to LOL when Ford said "Star Wars is all about the iconic places and characters, and soon you'll be able to...go to a random planet you've never heard of!"

Wow. If this concept art is an actual representation, this land will be beautiful. Its so grand looking. Has anything this massive ever been created?

There's this thing called "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," actually there are four, and it is of comparable size. Perhaps you have heard of it because it has been Universal-ly praised.

Just messin with ya...

Lol I might just be a size queen. The heights of this thing are amazing.

Screenz & more screenzes. OMG. What has become of Disney. With the Screen based rides and the artwork conception of the shopping bazaar that kind of looks like the IOA Lost Continent bazaar, I'm confused. Is this a Disney park or is it Universal?.....Bottom line though, the land & rides look great. I guess copying is the sincerest form of flattery.

Two screen-based simulators. No one should be surprised.

Battle ride is trackless, not a simulator

Simulator in the same way Spider-Man is considered a simulator, no?

Yes, because it's simulating movement; but even then it's not an "outright" sim.

The trackless ride seems to not do that.

From those on the magical site extensive screens should not be expected on the resistance attraction....mostly physical sets

The Falcon one, from all info read, should be more like FJ except with interactive measures

Wouldn't the MF attraction be more Mission: Space 2.0? FJ is a mix of screens and physical sets with Kuka arm movements. The MF attraction looks like a similar set-up as M:S in that it's interactive, looks like a 4-person set-up, and is all screens inside a cockpit.

I watched the 60th show last night specifically to see this part of the program. While it was a little more info than I have seen on the net, they still have not given any indication of when these will be coming on line. My guess is that with Pandora, ROL, and Shanghai in full gear they are too concerned about getting those done first before committing to a date for SWL, although they would seem to be OK with construction resources at DL since they have nothing major going on there, just capital $$ in my mind.

Do we think that the DL and DHS projects will be almost identical in terms of layout? I've seen the DL proposed layout on line (miceage), but nothing substantial for DHS.

I think they will be very similar with the same theme and rides but still different. Look at the different Simpsons areas for a good example of what I mean.

There's an insider or two on Magic that posted layouts according to information they received. The DHS layout was a bit wider in length than the Disneyland layout, but Disneyland had more depth. DHS was using a number of existing buildings and things were in different spots on the two parks. Of course the DHS plan included Star Tours, but moved the Jedi show to one of the present buildings. Since that posting though (I think it was Hippo's layout) Marni said the DHS location plans may be a bit fluid now but he wasn't sure, or Disney wasn't, on the exact location yet. Yesterday, Hippo said he wasn't impressed with the information on the show and that it matched what he initially had heard which was initially a disappointment to him. He thought Disney should have been more ambitious.

Sure, but Spider-Man is mostly physical sets, and Kong will be too. But that crowd will still crap on both for being SCREENZ.

For the life of me I don't understand how that's possible. Is it that it's a KUKA simulator? Or that it's on a track?

I find the second dubious.

They should totally put a KUKA arm on a centrifuge, that'd be delightfully dangerous.
