Low budget holiday-themed overlay where we’re told in a bad audio dub that our vehicles are transporting presents, they slap a CGI Santa hat on Dominic Toretto, and we’re left to assume that he and his family are stopping Owen Shaw from capturing us and ruining Christmas.

I hope we see a totally new take of fast and the furious supercharged with a test track like thrill ride type we will see.

One thing that would exponentially improve the ride would be replacing the wrap around screen portion of it with an actual physical set with lots of awesome special effects. Maybe they could actually tie it into San Fran too, make that part of the ride into an earthquake sequence perhaps? The party bus is a lame idea too, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to convert it to look like a subway car.

Lower that bar WAY down my friend. This refurb is far too brief for any major overhaul like that.

Probably just cleaning the operations up so it'll be reliable while Mummy is being refurbed and the Shrek changeover occurs. Not to mention the Potter replacement for Fear Factor, that'll take a bit longer.
USF will be having some capacity issues come 2022....until that stuff all comes aboard.

Brings to mind Snoop's corona commercials. "Everything is fine just lay back". No effort required

It's interesting to me that this seems to function much better than Kong

If it's one positive about the ride I have

I suppose the track layout is a bit less complex than Kong's

But I find it interesting

+ highly themed
+ faster than current attraction
+ more than 10 of these fit in the current building
+ short installation time
+ "it's so much fun!" (I asked my nephew)
- doesn't fit most people

While we could get some change to the main screen section in this short a time, as I say at the end of that story, it's more likely that any other rumored BIG changes will probably have to wait until after The Mummy coaster refurb is done next year, (or may just never happen).

I'm trying not to get my hopes up... but I want to believe they secretly filmed something new for the ride to update the story and add more characters for this quick refurb though. We can dream.

Still closed today. Was supposed to reopen yesterday. Someone said it might not open till Monday. No official word on the website.
