I was wondering about announcements as well. More importantly I’m glad universal is keeping all of their team members safe during this extremely confusing time

Another reason more than 10 houses is a bad idea. Wish we as Americans weren't so obsessed with quantity, but I digress.

I would be okay with them cancelling employee preview this year if it means giving them extra time to finish.

As always, stay safe guys. Exercise caution, not panic! :)

No idea, I imagine construction crews will remain but it might be modified construction schedules. I don't think UOR even knows right now.

I'd imagine a lot of the physical construction is outsourced and will continue on long before it is ever needing to be installed at Universal Orlando. These smaller companies (sized in relation to Universal) will probably keep trucking along in their shops and warehouses to fulfill Universal's contract deadlines. They aren't in the public eye, and sans actually catching the illness and losing laborers and crew, I don't see them slowing down too much.

Scarezones and large, custom props are built off-site. Actual house builds are completed on-site. The fact that the crews are contracted do make them “exempt” from the closure, but it’s still an interesting question.

I assume construction would continue on HHN houses, JP Coaster, rehearsals for Bourne, etc

I'm thinking they don't want "on stage" employees sitting around doing nothing for hours on end

I agree, and would like to add that I don’t see a construction company or worker willingly walking away from a contract and guaranteed work right now. You don’t walk away from a paying job unless you have to, especially given potential economic uncertainties. Construction is one of the first professions harmed by economic downturns.

The only two issues that I see are: Potentially infected/ill crew members as @Sledge stated. Or an inability to obtain supplies including necessary safety supplies. N95 masks are required by OSHA for certain types of construction work. The shortage of masks is extremely significant at the moment. My husband sells construction supplies to construction companies. All of his usual suppliers (manufacturers) are completely sold out. They are currently holding all masks they do get in for construction companies and workers only. The run/panic on these items is already hindering construction workers and companies.

I'd imagine the announcements would still go as planned just things being switched up to a little later, I wouldn't doubt them waiting till the end of the month to put some stuff out as well while this stuff is going on. Right now it seems like roadblock, there are many ways to go about this for them.

So, steering away from the scary virus stuff, I went down another interesting path with the clue. Now, I don't think this is the right answer for OBVIOUS reasons, but it's a really interesting "rabbit hole" nonetheless (going the OWCA route). Sometimes these deep dives end up in interesting places:

* Clue is of Perry the Platypus
* Perry lives a double life as "Agent P" (which is his character in this clue)
* "Agent P" is a spy who works for the OWCA (Organization Without A Cool Acronym)
* In 2006, a movie named "Black Sheep" was released worldwide. But in Poland, it was released under the title of "Czarna Owca" (owca is the Polish word for sheep)
* Czarna Owca was released in Poland on July 19, 2008
* Also released on July 19, 2008 was a horror film named The Midnight Meat Train
* The Midnight Meat Train was based on a Clive Barker book of the same name
* Clive Barker = Hellraiser

Again, I don't think this is the answer. And I wasn't attempting to get to this answer, as much as I would love the property. But, that's where the OWCA avenue took me organically, and thought you guys might find it intriguing.

These obviously aren't long enough, but maybe they will give others an idea?
This clip only really consists of Perry lifting up the top and climbing in before sitting down on the tiny chair, just for some context.
First guess:
Perry the Platypus is a secret agent
He fights against the evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz.
Dr. Doof has been revealed in one episode to not be a real doctor and that he purchased it for $15 dollars.
Re-Animator?
or that Dr. Doof once trapped Perry in a thing that was a reference to Evil Dead 2.

Second guess:
Perry the Platypus.
It is revealed in one episode that he was adopted by the boys and was originally named "Bartholomew"
Bartholomew is a character in AHS

I can’t imagine they’d announce anything with all of this going on, I mean I can’t see an HHN announcement getting a ton of press right now

Ifrit's clues actually tend to be way more on the nose. The last line is a direct quote from The Haunting of Hill House novel (and maybe the show? Haven't watched yet).

EDIT- I forgot how good the opening paragraph is so I'm just gonna post it; it's a masterclass in horror writing:

"No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality; even larks and katydids are supposed, by some, to dream. Hill House, not sane, stood by itself against its hills, holding darkness within; it had stood for eighty years and might stand for eighty more. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut; silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there, walked alone.”

Personally love the show and would be super excited for this to be a house.

These connections are sometimes this forums equivalent to "my mom's hairdresser's son knows a guy who once ate lunch at a Subway where Brad Pitt's cousin used to work". No criticism meant; I'm guilty of it too.
